      We were told the repair needed was $2000 then they said it was worse off and that it would now be over $4500 we then paid this business over $4500 for automotive repairs and the car broke down within 3 miles we were told that it is going to need a lot more work and we feel that the amount paid was more than enough that they should have test drove it to make sure it was fixed and running properly. They said we were told not to drive it which makes no sense, why would we spend this exuberant amount and not have a car to drive? They said it needs a lot of work and quoted another $1600 along with the tow charges $160 from right down the street. If they think they have been fair it certainly doesn’t appear that way to me I believe I’ve been taken advantage of. I think they should finish the job and not charge us another penny.

      I am Sorry to say, but I am a bit confused. I have a timeline of events recorded in our third-party software that timestamps all interactions and progress made on a vehicle that we service.       As you can see, we made you aware that further work would be required beyond the initial repair, but that we would need to let your engine running to accurately diagnose these other areas of concern. 

      We provided you with an estimate on what we would need to do to resolve the issues that we found after letting your engine running, and further diagnosis. You let us know you could not afford to fix it all at once, so we broke it down to what you would need bare minimum and told you we would have to reevaluate after makin* the minimum repairs, statin* you would still have a check engine light and may still have a misfire.

      After the minimum repairs were completed, we found you still had a misfire and recommended moving forward with another portion of the repairs that we had previously recommended, which you declined. We recommended that you not drive the vehicle because it was misfiring, and we didn't want you to cause damage to your vehicle. As for the tow, We do not own a towing company, and the $160 charge is from the towing company, not us. 

      We feel for your situation, and we know that automotive repairs on vehicles today are at a much higher cost than they ever have been, and at every opportunity to help our customers we do. As such, we are here to help you in these trying times.
