We hired Bridges Bros Moving to move our storage unit to our new house in the beginning of Nov 2021. We had used them in the past but the new crew they used was the '****' crew. Below are the bullet points: -Movers showed up an hour late -Movers broke stuff but we were told that their insurance has a $500 deductible and the older gentleman on the phone said don't bother filing a claim you won't win, its just the way the moving business goes." -Movers drank on the job -Movers slammed stuff in the destination and used racial slurs -Movers smoked weed on my property -Movers left parts of my bedframe and screws at storage unit -Movers left paint at storage unit which I understand they can not transport but would have been nice to get a heads up from them before the storage manager called me and screamed about it -Owner put up my personal information on my yelp review previously which just shows the type of business you will be dealing with (this not only puts myself but my family in harms way by them doing so). -Owner offers $100 amazon gift cards to buy 5 star reviews After making a negative review on yelp the owner Jeremy felt it was his right to post my personal information including my full name, address, and even cell phone number on yelp which is completely unacceptable. Every time I had yelp (and even google ) for sharing my personal information the owner just kept coming back rather then accept responsibility like a bully to take any measures to remove my negative review rather then accept responsability. To make it worse, the owner posted a response saying I was mad over wanting to be in a romantic relationship with one of his movers. Jeremy is clearly homophobic to even think such a thing would make me take my review down. Even if I was, how would he have my #? Why wouldn't have police been called if so? Why would have his supposed employee texted me for weeks? Clearly the owner is used to bullying tactics which is just sad but completely illegal.

Employees, in reckless handling of furniture, destroyed a custom made bed headboard. This custom bed frame set costing $3,165 is now useless and unreplaceable. I spoke with the owner in an attempt to reach an amicable resolution. He denied any responsibility.

    Bridges Bros. Movers Response

    09/20/2023

We feel badly that some accidental damage occurred during Mr ******'s move. However, his claims here are entirely inaccurate. As detailed below, our crew was not reckless in handling his furniture, we did speak with the retailer who sold Mr ****** his original bed set and this model is still being manufactured meaning the headboard can be replaced and we went beyond what is required by Federal law in an attempt to reach an amicalbe resolution that would help Mr ****** with this situation. Additional details: Prior to the starting his move, our Crew Chief reviewed a couple of documents with Mr ******, including an insurance coverage declaration. Federal law requires licensed Movers to offer 2 levels of insurance on a move. This is done to “provide coverage for any and all loss or damage that may occur during the move or activities associated with the move.” The two required options are a LIMITED coverage called ‘Released Valuation’ and FULL coverage called “Full Valuation.” As we do with all customers, we emailed this insurance form to Mr ****** several weeks prior to his move at the time he booked his job with us. This document spells out the two insurance options in detail, including their cost and their coverage limitations. We also shared our Terms & Conditions document which provides further detail on these insurance options, along with the many other requirements and restrictions we have under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration which governs the Household Goods moving industry. We send these documents in advance to allow our clients ample time to review the documents and call us with any questions, before making a decision on move day. Mr ****** made the decision to select the ‘Released Valuation’ coverage option which provides a limited coverage on any item that may be damaged or lost during the course of a move. That signed document can be seen here: bit.ly/3RrlmYp Unfortunately, there was accidental damage done to a headboard during the course of the move. This was not due to any reckless behavior on the part of the crew. The headboard was placed aside during the unloading of the POD to allow the crew to access larger pieces of furniture that needed to be loaded into David’s storage unit first, before small pieces could be loaded in. The item in question did fall during that time and sustained damage. This is one of the many inherent risks associated with moving and the reason the Federal law requires moving companies to offer insurance options to every customer. When we spoke with Mr ****** about the accidental damage we did discuss the limited coverage option that he had selected, which was not sufficient to cover the cost of replacement. Despite the coverage selected, we offered to attempt to fix the damage in-house, but the piece was determined to be beyond repair. We also advised Mr ****** that he could submit this as a claim to his homeowner’s insurance, which is how many clients choose to cover their move rather than paying for the ‘Full Valuation’ coverage option. Again, we feel badly that this did occur, but our company is fully compliant with federal laws relating to the insurance offered to clients and we attempted to further help Mr ****** when the coverage he selected was not sufficient to resolve his concerns.
