We recently built a pool Sept of 2022. We were able to enjoy the pool for roughly 2 weeks prior to closing it and even then we started experiencing issues such as flooding basement, heater and cover not working, which they fixed. In the early spring we opened the pool and immediately experienced the sale issues. The pool cover was sagging and uneven. Our app to control heat did not work and the cover doesn’t open. Currently doesn’t close. We paid for a beautiful working pool. We were told we have a one year guarantee to work through any issues; this year told that this is not the case. We are now being bill for $1004.19. I believe Ground scapes still owes us for a cover that works properly, a heating unit that works and to not pay this bill.

We provide two auto cover adjustments at no charge for every pool that we build that includes an auto cover, as the ropes stretch after a new install and require adjusting. We also explain during our hands on pool orientation that slamming the cover closed, open, running the cover with water on the surface, and not pumping water off the surface will lead to failures with the tracking of the auto cover. More than 2 adjustments of an auto cover is not typical and is generally a sign of the issues covered in the orientation. We completed two no charge adjustments for the customers. They continued to call us back for adjustments after this, twice asking us to come over immediately so they could swim. A service which we provided. The customer did not want to pay for this service. After some back and forth on these charges Groundscapes agreed with the customer that they would pay for the one of the adjustments and we would write off the others. At this point we considered this matter resolved. Through a simple accounting mistake the second invoice in error. Instead of contacting Groundscapes and having this corrected they chose to disparage Groundscapes on social media and write this complaint to the BBB. Groundscapes feels that we have provided them with a well built, finished product.Review from Jessica R

We started our design with this company and put down a deposit, which they cashed the next day. they provided us with a beautiful design so we paid for the steal frame. Then the horror stated... One month in and they didn't have a permit to work in our area?? Which you would think should have been the first thing the told us before cashing out checks. Then when the finely got the permit to work in our area. They hadn't even filed for the permit to do the work on our property. after us going to the City office we found out they didn't even apply for the work permit until 2 months after cashing out 1st check. They didn't even keep in contact with us we always had to call them to find out where they were on things. Today after 3 months they told us they were going to start however there was going to be even more of a cost. The lack of communication, and commitment from this company is awful!! We were more than ready to pay over $250,000 for our pool however we fell that they just didn't want to do the project but were more than willing to take our money. NOW it is a fight to get out deposits back as they want us to pay for their time and pool frame that was never order!! I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone!! AWFUL ALL AROUND
