Our last trash pick up from Gill Hauling was on December 22nd. Due to back to back storms, we were advised that our pickups would be delayed. They failed to pick up our trash and we were assured the problem would be addressed and fixed. The next scheduled pickup, we were missed again. We contacted them again and were assured we would be credited for the missed days and our trash would be picked up. The next scheduled pick up was also missed by the company. Meanwhile we were told to leave our garbage out and no matter how many bags were outside the container, they would be hauled away. We live on a farm and for the next several days, no trash was picked up by the company,but my wife had to pick up the garbage for several days due to the animals (possums, raccoons, etc) hauling it away. It is now January 29th and we still have not had our trash picked up, despite continued promises to do so. Our neighbors have had their trash picked up, we have not. My wife even reached out to them to let them know they would need to pull into our driveway as we were at the bottom of a hill. We have large machinery turn around in our drive so this would not only be possible but much safer for Gill Hauling (and they had done it before.)This company has bought out all the other waste management companies in the area. I believe this makes it easier for them to give such horrible service. To have our garbage sit here, uncollected, for months, is unsanitary, we are paying for a service we are not getting and one we depend upon. After numerous phone calls, we are hoping filing a report will fix this.Business response

We have responded to emails and also tried to contact customer but no answer had to leave a voicemail. . We have refund 3 weeks of service for the total of $28.60 but also refunded 2 weeks prior to the 3 weeks so 5 weeks in total have been refunded to the customer. Please let me know if you need anything else.

Our garbage has been collected once in the last 6 weeks. It is supposed to be collected weekly. It was not collected on 12/20/23, 12/28/23, 1/10/24, 1/17/24, 1/24/24. It was collected on 1/4/24 at which time an extra box was taken that I had put out.I have made approximately 20 calls to the office to attempt to get service. I have been told that they are having truck trouble or that the weather is too bad. I am told to just pile all the garbage outside and they will pick it all up when they come. The problem with doing that is that we live in the country. Wild animals tear open the bags and the animals and wind spread the garbage all over.The other people in our area are having the same issue. When I spoke to one of the neighbors he told me that Gill Hauling was able to bring a truck to deliver an additional dumpster to his house. He will be charged for the extra dumpster. I find it very curious that they are able to bring a truck to deliver the dumpster but are unable to have a truck come to pick up our garbage.It is a health and safety concern to have garbage spread out all over the area. There is not another collection business that comes to our area so I am unable to replace their service with another business.Business response

I am sorry that no one has returned your call we will get a credit on the acct for the days we didnt get service completed. So reason for the cart to get deliver is ** it was by a pick up and not a big garbage truck. We should be back on normal schedule.Customer response
