The gentleman that was here was absolutely wonderful! He was very polite and got both of our appliances back to good working condition. We were very with the service.

I made an appointment for a refrigerator repair and they required that I give them a debit/credit card number over the phone which I am always hesitant to do because you are basically giving them access to your entire checking account. They even required that I give them the 3 digit security code. This is bad policy, for both parties. First, it exposes the customer to fraud. Secondly, it exposes the company to being accused of fraud, whether or not it was actually their fault. Today I got a call from my bank saying four fraudulent transactions were attempted on that debit card, a card I haven't used since January 7th--about 90% of the payments on that card are auto-pay. So I know DEFINITELY that the fraud was perpetrated by giving Hometown Hero my debit card number along with the security code. Fortunately, First National Bank caught it and stopped all four illicit charges. Lesson learned, I will NEVER give a debit card number to a company I don't know over the phone. If it is required before a technician even comes to my house, I simply won't use that company and I will never call Hometown Hero Appliance Repair again.
