Atlantic Foundation fixed my foundation several years ago - the seasonal swelling and drying of the **** under my house caused constant shifting until my front door wouldn't open anymore. Their crew came out and all of these years later the house is solid and the front door swings freely during both rainy season and dry season. I'm very happy with their work.

The folks at Atlantic ****************************** Space Repair really know their business. They say what theyre going to do, then do what they say. I couldnt be happier with my crawl space moisture management system.

I was extremly pleased with the entire job Atlantic ************************************ completed at my residence. The workers were on time and did a great job. The only issue was that the eqiupment broke a part on the sidewalk, but that is probably expected, dur to the weight of the equipment. They did come back and fill the crack with epoxy. *** was excellent to work with, and the company completed all the tasks needed to stabilize my residence. I highly recommend AF&R to anyone needing to stabilize their home.****************

If you have a large chimney that is leaning I believe you will find that Atlantic Foundation and Repair can do a good job of stabilizing your chimney but I found they may not be able to correct the leaning even if there is nothing between the chimney and building that prevents the chimney from being pushed back into place. They were able to stabilize my 40 foot chimney but my impression was that they did not have the equipment necessary to push the chimney back into place against the building. The crew spent about 20 to 30 minutes using bottle jacks and the bucket on a ****** to try to correct the leaning but only managed to raise the entire chimney rather than being able to push it back into place. Here is a picture of how they were attempting to push the chimney into place using the ****** and a piece of lumber, https://www*******************************************************. I did find the crew to be very prompt and professional and they did a great job of protecting my lawn when moving equipment across it. I think I'll talk to a few other companies and to see if they have more suitable equipment for pushing the chimney back into place as it would be worth the additional cost to get the chimney back into place.

We highly regard your feedback with your chimney stabilization project. The project estimate/ contract is worded that we will "Permanently stabilize chimney and lift it as home will allow." One of the most likely culprit among a couple of others is roof work done since the chimney leaned away. It is common for roofing contractors to add material between the chimney and the roof sheathing to have something to nail flashing to, thus bridging the gap. Continuing to lift the chimney will damage it and or your home. We understand the desire to see your chimney lean back to the home but do not advertise that for this reason. Pushing on a chimney laterally can cause damage to it as well as your home, if too much pressure is applied. Please have peace of mind that your chimney is permanently stablized and in the event it moves it would be covered under warranty at no cost to you. We recommend that it be trimmed and caulked to your home for aesthetics and to keep it weather tight. Please let me know if there is anything we can do to improve our services.
