We are a low income housing apartment complex. There was a fire on 11/11/2021. After being asked several times about the cost of removing the water from the units we got nothing. It's like they purposely avoided giving any type of estimate. We used a different company before and that is not how it was done. We received a ballpark/estimate of charges. I explained that the property is low income and tenants are struggling to pay. There was no response from them with numbers. They sent an enormous bill over for over $14,000. I do not like the way it was handled. We agreed to a payment plan. They stalled on getting the required documents that are required to get payment (w-9 andCOI) We mailed checks out to them they stated that did not receive it and then I received a letter that they filed a lien on the property. They picked up the check in person and we told them they should pick up all the checks in the future so we don't have to depend on mail.Business response

Per our conversation, our attorney filed a lien without our knowledge after the payment had not been received. We have set up a payment plan with ***** ****** and the lien has been removed.
