Purchased a car from Southern pines GMC on june 1st, 2 weeks later it would shake as I brake. Took it in with in the 30 days of purchase they gave me push back but eventually agreed to change the bad rotors that were already on there before I purchased the vehicle. They only replaced the back rotors and pads and said that I would have to pay to replace the front. They were not willing to replace all four around the whole car. I was unsure of how the car passed inspection if the rotors are bad. I could not have done that after only 2 weeks of having the car. It seems as though they passed the inspection to get the car sold. Also it has been past the 30days and my paper tags are expired in which I still have not received the permanent tags. I called 2 weeks prior to which they told me they were getting ready to send them out but I have not received any thing stating a delay or something of that nature. Going on week 2 of expired paper tags. After seeing other reviews of this dealership I regret purchasing from them. I will do everything i can to make sure no one else gets mislead in trying to purchase from this dealership. I am an army veteran and I believe in integrity which I do not feel this dealership has.

The Service Manager reached out to the consumer, who now has his tag as of 7/9/2024. They also discussed the brake concern he had with the vehicle and the Dealership has agreed to replace the front brake pads and rotors as a goodwill gesture. The Service Manager explained that when the consumer took possession the vehicle did pass the safety inspection and the brakes did not have any vibration at that point, so there was no reason for the Dealership to address brakes that at the time were in good/safe condition. The consumer was very appreciative and the Service Manager arranged for him to come to the Dealership on Friday 7-12-2024 to have the front brake pads and rotors replaced so that all his concerns will be resolved.

Last year we took our truck for an oil change and inspection. They stated the tint was not the legal limit for tint. We bought the truck as is from them the year before which is why they did not know. They then told us they would change the tint to the legal limit so we would not have any issue. This year we went to get it looked at again because we found out the tint was not at legal limit. The service department then says they could not do anything because we may have changed it ourselves. Why would we do that then tell them to fix their error? So now we need to have the tint removed ourselves in order to go through the inspection. This leads us to believe that they did not change the tint in the first place and passed our inspection Illegally. This is not the first time they have carelessly done business. When the truck was purchased the vehicle was registered to the wrong name because the clerk did not take the time to read my driver's license correctly. Still I receive mail for my truck in someone else's name. (I send it back)

I have been coming to this dealership for at least 3 years but my last oil change didn't go right and my check engine light came on 2 weeks later. I took my truck to the dealership near me and was informed that the previous tech didn't put enough oil in my truck, the dipstick was dry and that he had to add almost 4 quarts. I'm sure that lessened the life of my engine so I contacted ***** and got the run around. Sent an email to the service manager who pretty much told me that was impossible since a very experienced tech service my vehicle. Which I thought was odd. Why would an experienced tech be doing oil changes? Either way, he explained how they do things and that was that. Now I'm going to have to contact someone else because clearly the experienced tech made a mistake and the service manager didn't even do his due diligence to check anything that I informed him of.

We understand that *********************** found two quarts of oil when diagnosing the check engine light. From our knowledge of ******************** Silverado, if her vehicle was left at the Dealership after we performed the service, with two quarts of oil the low oil message would have appeared at the time because the vehicle is equipped with a low oil level sensor in the oil pan. There most likely would have also been an audible noise coming from the engine.

We add six quarts of 5w-30 manually to 2.7L turbo engines with a six-quart oil container. While there are a lot of factors that lead us to believe that this vehicle did not leave here with two quarts of oil in it, we would suggest doing an oil consumption test to see if the engine is losing oil in between services. We would also suggest checking that the oil level sensor is operational.

We would be glad to help ****************** to perform these checks.

The Operating Partner at the Dealership has spoken with ****************** and apologized for any misunderstanding regarding the credit card charges. No additional charges were ever made to his card, and the original, authorized charge for the deposit has been refunded through the credit card issuer. ****************** offered to remove / update the review although the Operating Partner suggested he wait until everything was clear with respect to the refund, etc., but that we appreciated the opportunity to resolve this amicably.
