In 2020 I was closing on my first home for my kids and I. During this time things went south in the height of COVID and we failed to close. I found this property online **** ***** place it said it had been vacant since 2018 and the last rent was 800 and 700 dollars as it was an older outdated property. I contacted RPM and they informed me the rent was **** a month with service fees. I was approved and paid **** deposit. When I moved in sight unseen, other than online, I found the place unkept. I had a large fallen tree removed out of pocket, mowed the large yard down and have all the limbs and debris removed. Then inside the A/C units were dirty moldy the ones that worked. The floorboard heating and doors were rusted I had to keep the rust swept up with a newborn and 2 year old with special needs in the home. My mother found drug paraphernalia in the kitchen cabinet (hand made drug pipe). The bathroom had no ventilation so the ceiling began to get moldy and had to be constantly bleached. Ended up with a ***** problem, there were openings in the walls were the cold came in from under the house. Squirrels living in the attic due to hole on the roof. The stove sparked a fire so I removed it and let them know in my inspection. I went two years before finally buy a stove out of pocket they never said a word. Then when they wanted to raise the rent we negotiated upgrades, this never happened 6 months of waiting and nothing. After paying on time with no complaints all 3+ years I was late twice on rent only because I was applying for homes to leave due to my kids health with the mold and rust. My point with all this is, after all this I paid all of march a month early but found a home finally, so I moved out on the 8th they kept my march rent and the deposit. Yet some how the ****+ fees for cleaning repairs and painting are being charged to me! Why if the have over **** of my unreturned money! This is unfair charging for things they promised to do. (I admit to the cleaning)
