This loss involves an auto accident that occurred on 6/28/25 and our policyholder reported the loss to our claims department on 6/30/25. We have been in contact with both parties including the other vehicles registered owner, in which an initial repair settlement has been issued. For any property damage settlement discussions, we only communicate with the titled vehicle owner.Currently, we have open and active injury claims pending with the occupants inside the other vehicle involved. Our review of this case confirms our handling was appropriate.

Been insured by this company for a lil over a year now never had any issues until I added a car and took one off. ******* from the ***************** told me I only had to pay $180 for coverage come to find out that I have to pay $326 !!!! Never was mentioned to me by anyone! I went in person to talk to them when I added the car and made a payment and then called two weeks later making sure everything was good and they told me it was!! Now my coverage is about to go out because I cant afford to pay an extra $145!!!!!

I have had North Carolina Farm Bureau home and auto insurance for 13 years.i had a house fire in 2024. When I visited the agency in ***********, ** our agent *** ****** said how he visited a clients home following a huge loss and how they personally were concerned about those they insured. We never heard from Mr ****** following our house fire. Only an adjuster reached out to us regarding our damages. The adjuster was prompt and courteous and responded quickly. 13 months after our incident, we received a notice of non-renewal. Never any contact from the agent *** ******

Thank you for your business and for the opportunity to provide a response to your concerns. We reached out to Agency Manager *** ****** and he indicated that he assisted in getting the restoration team to her home that same day following being notified of the loss. Due to some personal issues during that time he was unable to reach as much as he normally would. He was unaware of any concerns as he knew our claims team was prompt, courteous and on the job quickly per our clients statement. Mr. ****** is more than welcome to discuss any concerns she may have. He is available if she wants to reach out to him or let us know and Mr. ****** will be glad to contact her.

Mr ******* reply as to why he didnt reach out is totally unacceptable. When we added additional coverage to our policy and met with him at his office, he told us how he had traveled to an insureds house as they had a huge loss and were there for him the whole time. And we didnt even get a phone call. And after 13 years of him collecting and no other home claims, we were cancelled. What a disappointment and a ripoff. Insurance is a big joke. At least with NC Farm Bureau

This is the most worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. This company is real messy and dont know how to communicate. My car was hit on May 7 2025 by a guy that is insured with this company. I have been communicating with this company and turned in everything they needed far as pics, body shop estimate, police report. Then the adjuster ***** ****** called me on May 16. I literally called her back in 10mins after she called me. I know she seen me call her back multiple times. Then had audacity to send a letter stating she couldnt get in contact with me when Ive been calling her back ever since May 16. Three of her colleagues even sent her emails stating that I was trying to get in contact with her.

This acknowledges receipt of your letter of May 27 2025, directed to the BBB Customer Review. The policy form that applies is the liability section of the personal auto policy. The complainant is upset with the response time of his claim. The claim was received and assigned to our Claims Adjuster on May 16, 2025. She was unable to reach the complainant by phone on May 16, 2025 and mailed a contact letter to her on that same day.The call was returned on May 20th while she was out of the office. The complainant was contacted and reached by phone on May 21, 2025, and the claim was settled on May 27th 2025.Sincerely,North Carolina Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company

These folks are pure **, I have been with Progressive, Aetna, and others and have had no problems. I cannot believe the issues have had with these people. Well... My agent ******* is a nice fellow, but his agency does not back him ***** Not Do Not Do NOT!!! Engage with these folks.Find another carrier, there are plenty out there.Just so you know, I was a victim of hit and run, really insignificant, but important to me. I am amazed at the ** I have had to go thru to file this claim. I have been with them for 5 years and never have filed a claim - thank the Lord! So...I am going to go after them !!! - I don.t give a s*** what it costs, they can't get away with it. I am going to take them down! Now, let me close -- these folks are losers, not the individual agents, they are ok ,it is the backbone that is broken. What a bunch of losers!!!! ***. OMG!!! Frankly they don't even rate one star.

If you have to live, work or drive without insurance, you can it is better than having your policy with this company. Don't get fooled by the info you found on their website as they been rated no. one. I had request home owner policy cancelation that will start on Oct 1st request sent on Sep. 27 2024. And received an email from the agent agree to cancel it. Started my new better offer policy with my new company. On mid Dec received a letter from insurance company asking for the payment that should go through my mortgage, found that the payment was sent to the old insurance company NC farm bureau. After investing found that they didn't cancel my policy. After long week with phone calls and emails they said they need proof of insurance for the period, after sending the proof today Feb. 3rd received a letter with the wrong cancelation date and a bill to pay for coverage period that I have no clue about.

This letter is in response to the Better Business Bureau review from Mr. ******* Our records indicate that Mr. ****** reached out to his Farm Bureau agent on September 27, 2024, to request the cancellation of his home policy effective October 1, 2024. Unfortunately, this request was not processed in a timely manner. Once Mr. ****** brought this oversight to the attention of his agent, he was informed that a signed request and documentation confirming the start date of his new coverage would be required. On January 2, 2025, we received the signed cancellation request, effective October 1, 2024; however, the supporting documentation revealed that Mr. ****** did not secure a new insurance policy until November 11, 2024. Consequently, the ** Farm Bureau policy was officially cancelled effective November 11, 2024, and we issued a refund for the unearned premium. If Mr. ****** wishes to revert to the originally requested date of October 1, 2024, we would be happy to accommodate this request. However, we would like to emphasize that we do not have any documentation indicating that insurance was secured prior to November 11, 2024. Therefore, we strongly advise maintaining the policy cancellation effective as of this date. Failure to do so may lead to Mr. ******* lien holder imposing insurance coverage for the period from October 1, 2024, to November 11, 2024 We sincerely regret any inconvenience this situation may have caused. Should Mr. ****** wish to proceed with the cancellation of his policy effective October 1, 2024, or if he has any additional questions, he is welcome to reach out to our **************** Unit at ************* Our team is available to assist Monday through Friday, from 8:15 AM to 5:00 PM EST.Respectfully,NORTH CAROLINA FARM BUREAU MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY*****

It's been more than a month since I had contacted the Insurance *** Feb 2nd with the same information they I had submitted on Jan including all documents they didn't review, for the full refund. They told me they are going to issue another check didn't know is it for full new check or partial. Anyways, today is Mar 12 and I still didn't get my refund. Emailed the agent but he kind ignored my email. I need to ask around and see if I can take this to court.

Worst experience with insurance so far. We have home owners, life insurance, and HAD car insurance which we have since transferred at their suggestion to only end up paying a FEE for transferring which was never discussed. We will be moving our home owners insurance shortly. Wouldn't recommend them ever.

This letter is in response to the Better Business Bureau review from Ms. ********* October 4, 2024, Ms. ****** submitted a request to cancel her auto policy. The change was processed on October 15, 2024, using a short rate factor. After review of the situation, we have re-cancelled the policy using a pro-rate factor. This resulted in a refund which will be mailed to the policy address. We appreciate the opportunity to resolve this issue and will continue to review ways to better serve our clients.Respectfully,NORTH CAROLINA FARM BUREAU MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY*****

I sold my house and canceled my homeowners insurance policy on 7/12/2024 and STILL have not received my refund. I have called several times and one customer service *** actually tried arguing with me that they sent the refund to the "address on file" (the address on file is correct as i receive all my policy info and bills to the correct address) when the previous agent told me that they had mixed my old address with my new address and sent it to an address that didn't exist. i called back Monday, 9/9/2024, to check the status of my refund as they issue checks on Thursday's to check to see if my refund had been sent out overnight to me like it had in the account notes multiple times but apparently their computer system is from 1987 and notes don't transfer through the system. I have communicated to the customer service team and my *** that this incident has really pushed me to considering looking for a new insurance company. Its almost like Farm Bureau doesn't care about the customer service at a home office level, only on the local agent level.

This letter is in response to this Better Business Bureau review. On July 12, 2024, our client submitted a request to change his address and cancel his homeowners policy. Unfortunately, when the changes were processed, the city was listed as Randleman instead of *********On July 28, 2024, our client contacted our customer service department to inquire about his refund. The address error was caught and our representative sent a request to our accounting department to reissue the refund. The check was mailed to the correct address on September 6, 2024. Unfortunately, our representative missed the previous notes requesting to send via overnight and it was sent standard mail.We apologize for the miscommunication and processing error. We continue to review ways to better service our clients.Respectfully,NORTH CAROLINA FARM BUREAU MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY, ***
