I RECEIVED A CALL FROM COLLECTIONS DUE TO KIGHTS MEDICAL BILL FOR A ROLLATOR 4 YEARS AGO. KIGHTS MEDICAL HAS NOT CALLED NOR MAILED ANY STATEMENTS. I HAD FULL INSURANCE COVERAGE AND WAS PRE-APPROVED SO I OWE 0.00 TO THIS COMPANY. ACCORDING TO FDCPA AND FCRA THEY ORIGINAL CREDITOR IS SUPPOSED TO CONTACT THE CONSUMER AND AT LEAST GIVE THEM A LAST WARNING OR A DEADLINE TO PAY OR RESOLVE BEFORE COLLECTIONS. THE PHONE NUMBER GOES STRAIGHT TO FULL VOICEMALL INBOX AND NO ONE EVER ANSWERS. THE MESSAGE PORTAL ON THEIR WEBSITE NEVER RESPONDS. I BELEIVE THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY PRAYING ON PEOPLE WITH HEALTH PROBLEMS. THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY.

On 12/28/2018 my release from the hospital I was supplied medical equipment by Kights Medical Corp (Wheel chair, Walker and Potty Chair) Which were arranged by Duke University Hospital. The medical bed was delivered to my home. During my rental period I was fully insured by **** ***** **** ****** Of NC since my out of pocket had been met. My **** ID #**************. March 13 2022 I received a bill three years later for rental of a bed and wheel chair for the period of 1/29/2019 in the amount of $309.13 I called the company and spoke to "****" and he said he would contact the accounting dept and find out what was the issue and he would call me back. Never heard from him but received a new bill 4/08/2022 with a late fee in the amount of $324.13. I called **** and asked about claims that were summited and they had none summited for the period that I was being billed for although they were paid claims for 2/28/2019/ and 3/31/2019 for the same equipment. I wrote to Kights 4/18/2022 and again supplied them with my **** ID# for the time period in question and told them that they needed to summit their charges since **** had no charges for the dates in question. As of this writing I have received an invoice dated 6/08/2022 in the amount of $324.13. I again tried to contact Kights but as in other attempts I reached a recording and left a message with no response

Received a bill dated April 15,2022 three years later for a wheelchair first received June 3,2019. When blue cross blue shield Ppo **** ******** paid this to them . 2. When company was called in ******* in November 2019 to return wheelchair where they were to send postage paid box to return they said it was no longer necessary as chair was paid for by insurance and the cost to return it was not worth it to company. Subsequently, the wheelchair has been donated to hospice. I have tried to speak to a representative at *** ******** and get recording that states no one is available to speak to me and actually has a buzz to line that fractures it and not recording message correctly. In addition to this complaint, I am sending a letter certified mail to company and reporting this to my provider at ****. Three years later one gets a bill out of the blue for ****. For a wheel chair that sells on ****** for 357. This does not feel good. Feels like Fraud. And I am not the only person apparently that this has happened to with this company. Their next step in other cases here is to send it to collections to pressure the customer to pay a fradulant claim which I wish to avoid. This appears to be a numbers game the company has resorted to and I am not amused. No one needs this stress.

I apologize, I am not sure who told you that this was paid in full in 2019. We never received any payment for the Wheelchair. We did receive payment for the walker. That may have been what was discussed. Regardless, I apologize for the issue, I will remove this from collections and remove the bill due to our error.

I first received a bill in December 2021 for services provided in December 2020. I contacted Kight's Medical Corporation on several occasions and was working to understand/resolve the issue. I received no final notice or notification that I would be turned over to collections until I received a letter from a debt collector. Being turned over to collections is now affecting my credit and I see no way to resolve this issue. My understanding is my Insurance Company paid the debt and then took the payment back in early 2021. I was working with ******, Kight's Medical to resolve this issue (beginning in November 2021 - March 2022) and have been told that this is a common billing error. Kight Medical Corporation has refused my request to provide the paperwork explaining the reason the insurance company paid and then took back the payment and they have refused to resubmit the paperwork for payment. ON THREE separate occasions, my Insurance Company was on the phone with me and called Kight's Medical Corporation...no one answered. The Insurance representative left messages asking Kight's Medical Corporation to return the call and they would add me to the conversation. A return call was never received. I'm unclear on how to resolve this issue when no one answers the phone, does not return calls and refuses to share info. During my conversation with ****** on February 7th she told me she didn't know why the Insurance Company call was not returned, that she would resubmit the paperwork to billing and I would hear from someone by 2/27. No one contacted me. On 3/22 I left a message, and my call was returned by Mike 3/23. This is when I learned that ****** is no longer with the Company, and nothing was resubmitted to billing. I asked to speak with the Owner, Mr. ******, and was told he would return my call...I'm still waiting. My expectation is that Kight's Medical Corporation will resolve this issue properly and professionally.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/11) */ Mr. ********, I was unaware that you have been trying to contact me, this BBB case is the first I am hearing about this. In looking at your account, insurance paid on 1/27/21, then recouped on 2/4/21 for inpatient which you should have received an EOB on this from ********. Per our records we sent you an invoice 5/20/21, 7/03/21, 10/6/21, 10/21/21, 12/3/21, and 12/22/21 prior to sending to collections. We usually only send out 3 statements prior to collections. But I do see that your wife called in on 11/22/21 and spoke with ******. When a claim denies for inpatient, there is not much we can do on our end. We were told by the hospital that you were discharging on a specific day, that is when we deliver and bill. Your payment on 4/5/22 will remove you from the collection agency and your credit should not be affected. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/04/11) */ It is interesting that you mention I was sent statements prior to November. The first statement I received was mailed on November 8th and ****** confirmed that yes, it was almost a year after the hospital stay and you were just getting the bills out. I requested to speak with the Owner on several occasions and was told that you would call me back. I tried repeatedly to contact someone in your office during business hours and again and again no answer. It appears from what I've read online, that I am not the only one with complaints about your company. I believe an apology is the least you could offer for the unprofessional and dreadful service provided. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/04/12) */ Mr. ********, I do apologize that this had to escalate to collections. I also apologize that I did not contact you when you requested.

Billed for DME rental of a wheelchair that was reported as defective on the same day of issue when the leg extender dropped my newly operated in leg with titanium rod and screws to the pavement. They picked up the chair but still billed for a month. I have received no other bill to date from April 2018 until now. This is fraud!

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/01/25) */ Our employees are trying to work with this patient on this bill. Patient did have the equipment for a week and we have significantly reduced the bill by almost 80%. She has decided that she just wants to threaten us and yell at my employees. We attempted to bill her insurance company on multiple occasions and sent everything needed. Her insurance did not pay and resulted in the patient getting a bill. We have incurred the expense of delivery, pickup, and filing this claim on multiple occasions. What we are asking for doesn't even cover the costs we have incurred on this order. We are sending her an updated bill of $43.68.
