I purchased a carport from Eagle Carports through Freedom ******************************* During the purchasing process I was told that I would need to pay for a lull lift because of the size of my Carport. I did pay the $2100 as requested for the lull lift and it was arranged for through Eagle Carports and was delivered to my location. When the installers showed up they asked me to move the lift out of their way and they did not use it at all. I contacted Freedom ****************************** about this wanting my $2100 returned since the Eagle carports installers never used it. After a couple of day I was advised by Freedom that they had spoken with Eagle and they were going to refund my $2100. Now over *************************************************** any communication from Eagle. My understanding is that Freedom has done everything they can do and that Eagle Carports is not even responding to them at this point, concerning this issue. I think I should be refunded my expense for the lull lift since it was never used for the install.

Please send an email to tscaudle@eaglecarports with the mailing address that the refund was supposed to be returned to so that I am able to verify where the refund was sent when issued.

    Business Response

Mr. ***** ordered a building in February 2025, and the unit was completed in March 2025. Just after installation Mr. ***** called in, and stated there was an issue with the anchors and submitted photos. A Repair Order was submitted to our system on 3/13/2025, with the crew returning to location on 3/31/25 - 4/1/25 to correct the anchoring issue. No mention of leaks were presented during this time, and there has been no communication from Mr. ***** after the repair was completed until June 13th when he left a negative review. Our *************************** has been reaching out to Mr. ***** regarding this review, to see if there was anything that needed to be discussed or reviewed. Attempts to reach Mr. ***** since this time have failed. In order for us to provide a solution, we need to know what the issues are with the unit at this time.

It is clearly marked on the order form that ground anchors with a wind snow rating of 35/125 were ordered with this shed.  The order form was received by Eagle carports and I was never contacted and advised that my order would be altered or I would have canceled the order.  I ordered ground anchors and I should have received ground anchors.  I did not get what I ordered and paid for.  Therefore, I am seeking restitution.  If Eagle Carports had no intention on providing ground anchors they should have contacted me and made a correction to the contract.  I have a legal document and contract that states and proves that I should have received ground anchors.  I already provided the contract with the anchoring and rating portion highlighted as proof that I purchased anchors to be installed with this shed.  Eagle Carports response is unacceptable.

    Business Response

    Date: 04/18/2025

    Good Afternoon ***,

Based on your order form, your purchase of a Loafing Shed was completed 5-2-2023. I have attached a brochure from that time showing that the Loafing Sheds are Agricultural Use, they do not carry a certification, and the ground anchors (rebar) are included with the installation. The installation of the unit was completed 5-8-2023, and no issues with the installation of the structure were reported within our 90 day workmanship warranty. You stated in your complaint that the structure was taken down by wind. Again, the loafing shed units are sold as Agricultural Use only, and no wind certifications are given with these builds.

    Business Response

    Date: 04/23/2025

    Good Afternoon,

Per the contract that you signed, the order was written up for a Loafing Shed. On the attached brochure in the upper left hand corner it states the following:

" Loafing Sheds DO NOT include certification. Certification can be added if the open side supports are sold as 1' wide supports."

There were no revisions on your order to add for a certification. The intended purpose of a Loafing Shed is for Agricultural Use which is also stated on the brochure.  The ground anchors you are referring to are Rebar Anchors as stated on the brochure as well. There are no additions for Earth Auger Anchors on this brochure, nor were there any Augers added to the contract that you have supplied. Based on what was purchased, it was purchased as a Non-Certified Loafing Shed with no amendments for Certification.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 04/25/2025

I am rejecting this response because:

I am rejecting your response for the following reasons:
No Brochure Received: I never received a brochure. Furthermore, any brochure cannot and does not supersede the terms outlined in the legally binding contract.
Contract Terms Not Met: The contract clearly specifies that the shed must be installed with ground anchors and carry a wind/snow rating of 35/140.
Improper Installation: The shed was only anchored on two sides, and one entire side was left unsecured to the ground. This is a clear case of negligence and improper installation by Eagle Carport.

Due to these issues, Eagle Carport has failed to meet its contractual obligations, and corrective action is required.

I contacted Eagle Carports to order replacement parts for my existing Eagle Carport Structure that was damaged in Hurricane *****. I had no issues coordinating to order the materials on January 30th, 2025 and for them to secure payment. Getting the materials began the challenge. On Feb 5th, 2025 were were confirmed to deliver the materials on Feb 12th, I was contacted that weather was an issue and my new date was Feb 18th. I took off work to be there for the delivery and never received a phone call, when I called they told me again weather has impacted delivery. I was unable to be available for delivery the next day. The company delivered the materials to my house without my signature or witness as receipt of delivery. The delivery was incomplete and missing materials. I have contacted the company multiple times via phone and email to remedy the situation and have not received any return contact since the delivery. I am simply looking to receive the missing materials so I can have the work done to fix my existing Eagle Carport or refund of missing parts (one (1) end ***** and two (2) 10' tubing legs, about $555.00)Dealer ID ******** - order date 01-09-25, original batch #****** Transaction ID (receipt#) ***********, Total $2137.88

Ordered a carport in September 2024, paid $400 deposit. As of March 2025, no carport has been delivered and no refund of deposit. Demand for refund has been sent. All communication has ceased from eagle.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/07/2025

Mr. **** placed an order on 9/24/2024. There were issues with permitting in his area, and the Customer had requested this to be made as a "Drop-off" only and we changed that order in our system. Since this time, Mr. **** has decided to cancel his order. There have been no funds received by Eagle Carports, Inc. On the order form it shows that a Down Payment amount of $361.20 was made to his local Dealer at the time of purchase. Unfortunately, since Eagle Carports, Inc. has received no funding for this unit we do not have funds to send him back for the Deposit. Mr. **** would need to contact his local Dealer if he would like a refund of his down payment as the $361.20 was made payable to the Dealership.

    Business Response

    Date: 01/23/2025

    Good Afternoon,

We were alerted of an issue with this installation on January 2, 2025 from *********. The customer purchased the unit on a Rent To Own Contract, and once the installation was completed the contract was turned over to Heartland for processing. Even though this unit is outside of our 90 day workmanship warranty, we have placed a Work Order in our system to return to the site to inspect the structure. Our ********************* will be in contact to assist the customer in scheduling an appointment for this inspection. We look forward to the opportunity to come to a resolution for our Customer.

I am rejecting this response because:

I have been flooded in and internet was out so I didn't get to respond to the business response to my complaint. It has already been a week and I haven't heard from them. The business lied about everything they said. I have been contacting them since October to come and fix the building. I have emails and phone logs to show proof. Here is my case number 7354276488A37.

    Thank you

    ***** Gibson

    Customer Answer

    Date: 01/31/2025

I am rejecting this response because: i notified eagle Carports in October and spoke to ****. She is informed me to give her 3 weeks to get things settled on their end. I sent several emails and was told the same thing you just said. I was never told there was a 90 day ***** period if there was a problem. I have asked for my deposit back, the payments that have been made and for them to pay for the damages done to the materials that were for remodeling my house. We had to move everything out of the building because it can't be used. And hasn't been used since 2 weeks after installation.  My Father passed away December 7th, so Heartland was mistaken. And it's his daughter, not daughter in law. I have been the one Eagle Carports has delt with the entire time. No one never spoke to my father.

I understand. Please send all communications you have to *********************************** for review so that we may get this matter resolved for you.

    Business Response

    Date: 01/31/2025

We were notified just two days ago from ********* that unfortunately Mr. ****** has passed, and the ownership of the contract would be moved to his Daughter-In-Law (We were not given a name for the transfer or Ownership). As previously stated, we are working to resolve the issue, and have placed a Work Order in our system for Inspection of the unit. There has not been a call to schedule that appointment at this time due to our installation schedule. We are still actively working to assign an installer to this area to complete the inspection. Please send all previous emails, and phone logs to ************************************ We have received correspondence from Heartland in regards to this matter with statements from them that you had been in connection with the Dealership you purchased through. In order to resolve this issue, we would like access to all available information. The next step in the process is to review any documentation you may have, and assign an installer to your area for the inspection.

I am rejecting this response because:

Hi ******* I am the one that had the complaint with eagle carport. They have yet to do anything about the building and are now threatening to repo it. What can I do? I have sent every email, pictures and videos to the company and to the bank. And still have not heard anything. This has been going on since October 2024.
    Thank you for your time
    ***** ******

    Business Response

    Date: 02/27/2025

Eagle is not threatening to repo the unit. The customer has a signed *** Agreement through *****************************, and they have not made payments on the unit since the installation due to issues with the structure. I have notified Heartland that we are working to resolve the issue with the Customer. There will be no repossession of the unit until an agreement can be made.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 03/03/2025

I am rejecting this response because:

I have made payments, made a down payment also and lost material for remodeling my house due to the neglect of coming to fix the building when I 1st notified Eagle carport in October. I have been given the run around by the company since then as well. No one communicates with me concerning the matter, I keep getting told they need to talk to certain people before they can do anything. Here it is 5 months later and nothing has still been done.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 03/05/2025

I am rejecting this response because:

I received an email with recent response from eagle carport. I'm not sure i understand it. Are they saying they are paying the building off and I won't owe anything?

I will need some kind of paperwork if that is what they are saying.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 03/07/2025

I am rejecting this response because:
I want the money I paid down, the payments I made and the material that was damaged for remodeling my home. Especially if you are going to still repo the building. The building was a rent to own so you shouldn't have anything to pay off with heartland. It's not right for you to repo the building and not pay me back since I couldn't use it. I showed my lawyer the pictures and videos and as a rent to own building you are not treating my deceased dad  right as a customer.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/05/2025

In speaking with Heartland, Eagle is willing to pay off the unit to Heartland to satisfy the account.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/07/2025

To resolve this issue, Eagle Carports, Inc. will be satisfying the account with *****************************. In doing so, we will also be issuing a Pick-up order for the damaged building to have it removed from the property since the unit has not been as expected since installation per the Customer.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/21/2025

    Good Morning *****,

We want to inform you that the final offer for the resolution of your account with ********************** is to pay your account in full with ***************************** as per your RTO contract. Once the payment is completed, the building will remain in your possession and stay on your property. Please let us know if you have any questions or need further clarification. We appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 03/21/2025

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and I accept it. Please email me a letter stating the offer and ends the contract and the building belongs to me and will remain on my dad's property. That I am not responsible for remaining balance and that I will take care of fixing the building leaking and other issues. Thank you for your time.

BEWARE EXTREMELY poor communication. We had issues with our newly installed 25x30 garage. Contacted customer service the day after and sent pictures. This was on 10/30/24. On 11/20/24 I received a call to schedule them to come out for repairs on 11/25 between 7-9am. No show, contacted scheduling. They said they would contact the crew and call back. At 9am they did and said they would now be out the following day or the day after. I stressed to them that I need at least a 30 minute call ahead as I am a self employed plumber and I have a schedule and customers to take care of as well. The 26th I am on a job and guess what, I get a call from my wife while Im on a job "the garage guys are here" no call ahead once again. Now Im trying to explain everything to my wife that needs to be done to relay to the crew. Nearly impossible due to the language barrier. He says, cant fix today maybe next week. I call scheduling, Was transferred to customer service and customer service escalated me to their manager. After stating all my concerns to the manager on a 5-6 minute call, her response was "Ill call them and get back to you" no apology, nothing. 12/2 @3pm crew shows up as Im on my way out the door. AGAIN no call ahead and never heard back from customer service either after our communication last week. So now, I have to call my customer and cancel my job because I have to be home to inspect their work when they finish the repairs. They finish, I inspect the work done on the door rails, sign the work order and they drive off. Go to lock up the garage and now the slide plates on the doors dont match up to the holes on the rails unless I push down really hard. Im over it, Ill fix it myself. Cant count on manager or crews to do what they say. The only positive in the whole experience was ****** in customer service (not the manager) shes the only one who seemed to care and followed thru with our original issues. She should be the manager. More details but limited space.

    Business Response

    Date: 12/04/2024

    Mr. *****,

I first and foremost do want to apologize for the inconvenience of all the scheduling issues and will look into this and why the crew's rescheduled you so many times.  I did try to give you a call but no answer so I left a voicemail for you to give me a call back.  Furthermore, I did pull the phone calls and I, the **************** Manager, did apologize to you several times.  I would like to discuss how we can accommodate you for the reschedules and again we are so very sorry for that.  If you would please return my phone call at the number provided I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you for your time regarding this matter.
