I informed the ************ of Five Star of workmanship problems (holes in siding that was covered up by insulation, a jagged cut metal partition wall, a doorknob installed incorrectly with a s**** infringing on and bending the plunger to where it had to be cut open with a reciprocating saw, the doors were left in the dirt during a rainstorm and the mud stained them so they have to be painted, and more), communication (having to call multiple times to receive follow up, not hearing back when he stated they would contact me), and inferior products being substituted for more expensive ones I paid for (single bubble insulation instead of double bubble insulation placed at the top of some 14' side walls and a portion of the roof, both of which could not be noticed visually from the ground...we only discovered this when we put up scaffolding in the building months later and were able to see the unauthorized and unknown switch). I provided ************ of Five Star photos and videos of all the issues. As a result an agreement was reached with the company for a partial refund in lieu of repairs. I signed a Final Resolution letter and returned it on 4/2/24. ************ confirmed by email his receipt and asked to allow 3-5 weeks for it to arrive. It has been 6 weeks so I followed up, and learned from them today the check has not been issued. Not only was there questions with the workmanship, unapproved inferior products switched without our consent or knowledge, but now the agreement we reached has not been honored to date. If they decide to honor the terms of the agreement, I will update this post.

The day after filing the review with BBB, I received a call from ************** with Five Star. She stated my check was sent on April 8, 2024. I told her I texted with ************ of Five Star the day prior and he stated it had not been sent, adding I would have to continue to wait; so, I found it ironic I was now being told it was mailed weeks prior. I asked for proof it was issued and mailed, and that was not emailed to me. ************** did however state she would cancel the "sent" check, issue another and send it via **** I can report I have now received the check ************** sent 2 days after she and I spoke. It is a shame I had to file a review with the BBB, post a negative review via ******* and threaten to file suit for the check to finally arrive. I now consider this matter resolved.

Ordered a building thru a local dealer that this company deals thru. The local company took our order for a building with the color of patriot red. A deposit was it down and the rest to be paid upon install. Spoke to several people at five star to coordinate them coming to install it. The day before a five star metal building contractor was supposed to show up and put it up the installer called to inform us that they gave the wrong color. After several weeks of back and forth with five star as well as the local dealer free delivery garages(who it was initially ordered thru) the color we picked off the wall in the local office did not exist. The local dealer refused to return the deposit. Five star offered 0 help in finding a solution besides speak with the dealer. So I proceeded with small claims and won. Now the dealer is refusing to refund the money. Five star is 0 help in this situation when there rep/dealer is just out here taking hard earned money from people. Save yourself the hassle and find out who youre ordering stuff from exactly. If its this company just tell them no thanks and save yourself for the same situation. 0 customer service skills.

The whole process was frustrating. Scheduling was a nightmare with several re-scheduling's, took a lot longer than promised to even get our structure. Arrived with not enough material and left our insulation exposed during one of the biggest storms to date (it is still damp months later.) Justin A***, Sales Manager was combative and difficult to work with. We were lied to, accused of lying, lead to believe we were getting a better product than we did, told "it's not our problem" when our garage flooded after a big storm. There are better companies with more integrity and character - choose one of them!

This company has screwed me out of $900.00 I ordered a 18x26 metal garage March of 2021, put the deposit down and they told me up to 6 weeks for it to be built. I received numerous calls about the paperwork and having to go up to the office about 4 times to get it fixed.. Only to be told that bc my house was not yet in my name they couldn't build it.. I asked for my deposit back and was turned down.. I've called the ashtabula office and explained the situation only to deal with some one with a rude attitude....

The order was placed on April 17,2021 through our dealer Free Delivery & Garages. This contract was Rent to own but due to the fact that she does not own the property the building is going to be installed on our third-party finance institution was not able to finance it. We advised the customer to try to get a loan through her local bank. Five Star Metal Buildings has not collected anything from this contract, the deposit of $780.00 was collected by the dealer Free Delivery & Garages. If the customer is requesting a refund she would need to go through them.

I order my metal garage on April 12, 2021 and was told it should be here by June 2021, I have not got my building yet (12-29-21) I call every few weeks and am told a different story each time They promise it will be here the next month, Sept. Oct. Nov. Dec. etc. I paid a non refundable deposit. I am not sure if it will ever get here in Kentucky.

I ordered my 16x26 metal building 4/29/21 and was told 4-8weeks and now it’s 6 months and still no call from them. I have called multiple times and have been given excuses everytime but never given a date for our building.we paid a deposit of 750.00 to one of their contracted sellers(Darren)here in ohio(***** ***** *** ******** in Ashtabula Ohio)and when I called him I received nothing but an bad attitude about no refund. What are all the buyers being misled about getting a building that is never built and receive no refund?

I ordered my 22’x25’ metal building 3/29/21 and was told 4-6 weeks and now it’s 30 weeks and still no call from them. We have called multiple times and have been given excuses everytime but never given a date for our building.we paid a deposit of 871.00 to one of their contracted sellers(Darren)here in ohio(***** ***** *** ******** in Ashtabula Ohio)and when I called him I received nothing but an attitude about no refund.

I ordered my building in March and have received false dates, excuses , blatant lies. Every time you call the scheduler , it is a new lie. Once was told it was on the truck with three other orders and would be about two more weeks because they have two trucks down and not enough installers. Just called today because I was told it would be 1st week of October. Now told November and the scheduler let slip they don't do my area until Spring. I would avoid this company.. Appears they are building recently placed orders , but not older orders since material prices increased. They will give you the run around. They even tried to lie and state that they called me once and I told them my area was not ready to build a garage. I instructed the scheduler my pad was done 2 weeks after I ordered in March. Just lie ,after lie , after lie. Beware.

The owner is a liar! I ordered this building on March 2, 2021. I was told a 4-6 weeks and my building would be here. I poured cement in March as preparation for my new building. I have called every month since the middle of April and keep getting the run around, lies basically, the truck is not full yet, the weather, ect...In reality we feel they are screwing us over because they raised the price of the building after the purchase and we feel they are not delivering it deliberately to save money. Oh and by the way they don't deliver in the winter. They are putting me off with the building all they do is lie. They told me in August they were working on Marches orders and I ordered March 2nd. Here it is September and no building and guess what they are still working on Marches orders. All lies buyer beware!!
