On 11/04/2023- Purchased 2009 ********** GTI from this business and instantly regretted it. I called to test drive the car. The vehicle didn't drive smoothly. When you accelerate the vehicle RPM would go up really high and gear appears to slam into the transmission. The transmission kicks when you accelerate. When I drove the car some strange light came on and the car drove very weirdly.I brought these issues of the Sales Manager. He stated it is in a perfect condition. You are perhaps used to driving bigers cars. This is a small. And since I was driving a new SUV and it kinda makes sense. He said the vehicle is closed to the ground and you would feel the bumps and gear shifts. He dismissed every complaint I raised. He seems to have an explanation for everything. He explained he won't put a car that has an issue on their ****. I asked another Salesperson to test drive car with me. He drove the car and while he was driving the car, I pointed out to him the sound the car was making and how it was driving. He said the sound heard was because the car is a sport car and the shaking that I felt was because the rotors were getting old and the car has been sitting without being driven for a few weeks. He assured me that the car was in a great condition and he has driven the car a few times. They showed me a Carfax report. He explained the car was well maintained and maintenance done as recommended by the manufacturer. While the Sales Manager was showing me the Carfax report, I asked him why the report does not show the last time the vehicle passed the state safety and emission test. He explained that the vehicle was a trade-in to them and they have done all the maintenance inspects prior to putting it up for sale. With their assurance that the vehicle was indeed in excellent condition and I purchased the vehicle. Immediately, after getting home, we noticed windshield was severely damaged and sent him pictures. Next morning the car wont start and the engine light came on. Took the car to another shop and they diagnosed: Mass or volume Airflow Sensor defect, Steering Wheel Column defect, Malfunction in Cooling System and transmission(Unexpected Mechnical Gear Disengagement(No Signal/communication). I brought it back to them, with this information(see attachment). He told me to wait inside. He went outside and spoke with each other in spanish. He called me outside to the car and told me the check engine was not on. I was puzzled ; and so I left. On way home the check engine light came back on again. So I returned back and showed the manager. He talked with Mechanic again. Monroe Motor Sport fixed the windshield and replaced Mass airflow meter. Thank you!The engine light was still on. The mechanic plugged in OBD2 tester and the erased all the check engine light error codes and told me I was good to go. I asked the manager why did his Mechanic just reset engine light instead of fixing the issue. He got very angry and threatening me, ordering me get out of their establishment and so to avoid physical harm I left the establishment without the major issues being fixed.Initial Complaint

10/22/2022: purchased a Porsche Panamera 4 from dealership. Took it for a test drive and notice issues when the vehicle tried to accelerate. Brought those concerns to the dealership for him to say it only need some oil. Took the vehicle home and the following day, it cut off and wouldnt restart. Had the vehicle told to a repair shop for a diagnostic. Was informed that the vehicle had a ton of mechanical issue and we given a bill of $16,000 to repair everything. Contact the dealership and never heard back.Business response

While its unfortunate that the client is having issues with the car they bough AS IS. This is not how the story went. They purchased the vehicle on 10/22/2022 and did not have issues with the vehicle immediately as they stated. They paid their taxes and did their registration on 11/9/2022 and the client did not have any complaints when we called to inform them of the status of their tag. We didn't hear back from the client until 12/14/2022 when they sent us a quote from a dealership diagnosis that was done on the same date. Upon the sale of the car we always ask the clients if they want an extended warranty as we sell cars AS IS. The client declined so at this point it not our responsibility. We are a family owned dealership and we would have no issue helping a client if they have mechanical issues but due to how they reviewed our shop and didn't even give us the curtsey of calling before making such claims and reviews publicly and social media we have decided to wish the client the best of luck and stay out of it.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:The company statement is false. They DIDNT offer an extended warranty and once again when we brought up issues with the vehicle; it was brushed off as a simple it just need oil statement. This company has in NO way offered any type of compensation or solution to this problem. From email correspondence, the dealership wanted to use a backyard mechanic to offer a cheap fix when given the documents of how much it would cost to fix all the problems with the vehicle.
