Hail damage was done to car . insurance paid the bill and the work was not done properly/ this was in june of last year. i picked up my car last week he kept messing up the work on car. still not finished . worse than when taken in. . i got another body shop to look at repair and says it will be an additional 2500 to repair the damge done to my car that the owner had been paid for. i am elderly 72 .insurance company says they cant help because he wasnt who they would have sent me to but they also didnt tell me i needed to take to their repair people either. he kept my car for 8 months and now it is in worst condition. please assist me in this. i dont want him to touch my car again. in all the months he kept my car he refused to answer my text and call. i went to shop and he would have it locked knowing i was coming. it is a 2020 ****** sentra.Initial Complaint

My vehicle has been in this body shop since November 27th, 2023, after I was in an accident. I was told it was an easy repair , and would only take a couple of weeks. I have been lied to twice about when the repair would be complete, I have lost hours, and income at work, having only 1 vehicle to drive among family. I was last told my car would be ready January 3rd. Progressive insurance was given the same info . My car still isn't fixed, and the manager is unreachable. This has been a nightmare for me, and my family, with no end in sight ! Completely unacceptable!Initial Complaint

I was in a vehicle collision June 28, 2021 and my vehicle (2022 Kia ********* was transported to A & L Body shop for collision repair. A&L was paid in full $9,287.94 in 2021 by the ********* company (USAA and Progressive). A&L has yet to complete the repairs on my vehicle and has surpassed numerous timelines that the owner ***** has established with myself and the ********* companies. I have been in a rental vehicle since 2021 and reached the max ********* coverage to pay for my rental on August 15th 2022. Due to the extended amount of time A&L has had my vehicle and my time in the rental the ***************** has reached the max ****** amount and can not pay depreciation on my vehicle. ***** (the owner of A&L) was kind enough to cover the rental vehicle fee (through Enterprise Rental) until the vehicle repair was complete. On numerous occasions the card ***** has on file with Enterprise has declined leaving me to cover the balance (Thousands of dollars) until ***** pays then Enterprise has reembursied me. On Aug. 7 2023 I was told via text that my vehicle was going to be returned within the week and even sent a picture of the progress. Since Aug 21st 2023 A&L Has ignored my phone calls and text messages. My insursance company Progressive had to physically show up to the auto shop on Sept. 8, 2023 because the shop refused to communicate via phone, email, or text regarding my vehicle. Since September 8th the adjuster at progressive has recieved the run around from ***** regarding the completion of the vehicle saying " it will be done next week" next week comes and it is still not completed. Oct. 9, 2023 Enterprise called to inform me they have been unable to get ahold of A&L to collect payment on the rental for weeks with then balance sitting around $1,000.00 and want me to return the vehicle today. At a minimum A&L owes me the depreciated value of my vehicle for their neglect, negligence, and failure to complete repairs in a timely and reasonable manner.
