We had Pool Scouts open our pool on 4-22-24. We had to call them back on 4-30-24 , due to algea on the bottom of the pool. We had the same issue last summer. They came out 2 times then for this issue. We had the algea all summer. When they came back on the 30th, serviced the pool, as soon as the guy left I went out and the algea was still there. I have uploaded a picture. If you enlarge it you can see the large white spots, that's the algea. We were told the chlorine didnt even register, so in 7 days all the chlorine that was added on the 24th was gone. I called another pool service that came out the same day on the 30th. He looked at it told us it was probably dead algea. We have to vacuum with the hand held vacuum to waste. And to do it slowly, because the particles are so small. We had been using our robotic vacuum. Pool scouts never told us this. They never guided us on how to remove the algea. The other service also checked our water and his results were different than pool scouts. I have uploaded both results. The fist is the other ool service. I emailed Pool scouts. They called this morning and they told me we only have 24 hours to contact them with any issue. I told them that they didn't vacuum liked we were charged for. She said he did vacuum. I told her i went out as soon as he left and the algea was still there. That is when she told me they only warrant for 24 hours. Nowhere on the receipt or website states that you only have 24 hours to contact them with any issue. I told her they never resolved the issue. She claimed that we aren't maintaining the water. We are adding a bag of shock once a week like pool scouts told him to do. I tried to resolve this without any success. We aren't asking for the ****** we were charged for the opening. Just the ****** for the follow up. I feel this should have been covered on the opening charge because the water or the algea issue wasn't resolved.
