Dental bill came after we were quoted and paid for expected service then they send a bill - only an amount with no explanation of that amount . The billing office manager told us it was no waiting period but the insurance said it was for a procedure.. a crown and a build up of tooth found out that( build up) wasnt covered until 12 months but the crown was dentist should have not done service until approval but quickly did before insurance info came back with a ************************************************************************************ from insurance before they proceed with such an expensive procedure for a patient to pay out of pocket their comment was If we sent in every request it would take too long for approval. When we spoke to insurance they said the dental office should submit a Pretreatment estimate before proceeding but our dental office did not .. we feel that since they didnt do that it misled us into thinking we only owe what they said and paid it .. do t have exact amount but $500.00 + was paid. On day of service.Business response

The patients insurance company did not tell our office that the patient had a waiting period. We based the patients estimate on the information that we were given. The patients treatment plan states that it is an estimate only. The patient has since talked with their insurance company and had the waiting period waived and has paid the claimCustomer response
