I have reached out Patti (via work order) and the owner/president- David (via voicemail) in regard to a large Leyland Cypress tree adjacent to our unit that has become a security issue for me, my family and guest. We asked that the tree be trimmed (not cut down) but trimmed or pruned in order to give our unit more visibility. Was told initially that the tree would be pruned. After five months of inquiring as to why it had not been pruned, the response tree would not be pruned only cut off of the neighbors roof (per the homeowner Patti stated). This was a lie because my neighbor and I do communicate unbeknownst to Patti and she stated that she has not talked to Patti or Priestley about the tree but wanted to as she too was worried about its large size. It's interesting that roughly 6-8 trees have been totally cut down and removed on our street and a few others on our main street but they cannot PRUNE one tree. Absolutely ridiculous and we would like to make note, that should something happen we will hold them accountable. Lastly, the are refusing to replace or remove dead shrubbery. This is in violation of our CC&R's and we will be looking into how to move forward with this as well.Priestley Management Company, Inc. Response

As the Community Manager our job is to implement the directives of the Board of Directors. We can not remove trees unless it is approved by the Association's Board of Directors. Patty has contacted the Board and is waiting for their approval to remove the tree. If the Board approves it's removal it will be handled as soon as possible.Review from Sreeram M

I am part of a HOA where this is the property management company. I see and share the same feeling as many homeowners in our community and the reviews are shared by others. They donot pickup the calls, take sides and are very quick to levy a fine and mostly they don't have the right skilled people. A lot of the times, they give conflicting messages, don't understand the legal interpretation of the basic rules like Sidewalk maintenance, opening a CDAR or how that works, and stipulate arbitrary restrictions which are not enforceable based on the covenants and bylaws. Many times we had to ask when was the last inspection done and have to keep following up why they don't come out regularly. And most irritating is that the owner is very unprofessional and disrespectful. I was the president at that time and he called me a bully. When we wanted to get a new management company, they started doing this intimidating attacks and seems like made an agreement with another "Karen" homeowner to gang up and decline my requests.Priestley Management Company, Inc. Good Morning, Mr. ***** was the president of his homeowners association. I am the President of Priestley Management Company. I got involved with his board at the request of my community manager and other members of the board. Other Board members reported that he was doing everything he accused me of doing. I acted in a very professional manner every time I communicated with him. The remaining board members are very dissatisfied with is actions. I am not going to enter into a he said she said conversation with Mr. *****. Sincerely David P********Review from Morgan S

Had a tree fall on my townhome back in August 2022. this was where the nightmare began with this company. I chose them because my HOA uses them as the management company, and I was newer to the area. Since I needed to replace my roof and fence and needed to match my neighbors since I am in a townhouse. They are terrible at communicating and I continually had to call to get a status on my house. If I didn't follow up on items, things didn't get completed. They noted they completed things but didn't actually complete them. They continually lied to my insurance company to try and get additional funds claiming they cleaned my house even though I have text noting they couldn't clean it before I wanted to move back into my house. I took the day off work to clean as I had been out of my house for 97 days at that time. It has now been almost 10 months since the incident, and they finally replaced my fence for the second time because they first time after 8 months they installed the pieces and it was shorter than the rest of my fence. I still have paint issues that aren't completed and at this point I bought my own paint to complete as I am done with them. They are negligent on your personal property (ruined my grill cover, patio furniture, left trash in my house, nails, etc.) I think they are very unprofessional and would not recommend using them to anyone.Review from Catherine W

This management company has sent 2 of their contractors to our house. Neither of the contractors did the jobs they were supposed to do. The gutter cleaners did not notify us as to the date they were scheduled to do the cleaning. Nor did they clean the gutters: I still have to have buckets out where the gutters overflow. In addition, they broke the rain gauge and Priestley has failed to have them repair the damage. The Priestley contractor who was sent to fix a ridge cap shingle that blew off failed to caulk around the nail hole when the shingle was nailed on. The same shingle blew off within a month. We had to hire our own roofing contractor to caulk around the nail hole. We ended up paying the management company and paying again ourselves because of the poor quality of the contractors they send.Review from Christy R

Priestley Management harasses homeowners. They sent me a letter in May about pressure washing and cutting weeds they aren’t on my property. I sent a response showing my home with pics and they said “case closed”. Then In September, I have already had 3 letters sent to me. First was for the home to be pressure washed again and the weeds that aren’t on my property line. The part of my house that isn’t pressure washed is the top 1/3 of my home on the side of the house that isn’t visible to the street which means they are walking in my yard. I said fine, I sent a response asking for a month to get it done, I’m a single mother. A week later, I get a letter about a basketball goal that isn’t mine and isn’t in my yard or property, then today I get a “final notice” about pressure washing even though it’s only been 14 days and they agreed to give me a month. They HARASS!! But the weeds and brush they are responsible that is very visible to everyone, they aren’t doing that??? The sidewalks are raising and hazardous! Many things they could be fixing on their end instead of harassing homeowners. I will tell everyone not to move into a neighborhood with this HOA company, Priestley Management.Review from Luz S

Lock integrity. Blatantly lie about services not rendered. Glad we no longer will have them to run our HOA.Review from Micheal W

This company is the most horrible. I mean horrible company ever !!! They do not call back they will send fees to attorney to make extra money off people. They are a company about money and not for the people .. They do nothing for the neighborhoods beside cut glass with fake landscaping company .. If you have a problem with your account good luck with contacting them or therm contacting you because other wise they will send a letter from attorney. If I could give them a zero I would.
