I went to this location with my Fiancé and step son. The cashier extremely rude & refused to help us! This was our first time visiting this store. It was around 7:30pm on 1/1/24. I understand it was right before closing but to ignore us and look at my fiancé in disgust because of his skin color upsets me. We didn’t do anything wrong nor were we rude. Just asked to be POINTED into a specific direction of an item. Then she proceeded to walk away! The other employee said that the managers who work there have their own made up rule that the are rude and nasty to keep people from coming back! I’m horrified! How could this be possible or even allowed? My family and I have had the worst experience as our FIRST time and will most likely never return.The Fresh Market, Inc. Response

As of 1.6 we attempted 3 times to contact the guest. The person that reached out to guest was the Regional Manager in that area. We investigated the complaint and attempted to follow-up with the guest.Review from Rafa R

This is for the store located at: 5251 University Pkwy, University Park, FL 34201 For an incident happened 8/18/20222 This store is a disaster, the manager can’t even show his face to the customer. I have a pretty thick skin. Over the years I went so many times to this store. There's this young man in his 20's working at the meat/fish counter. I really don't care about how many times he ignores me while I'm standing there, or while I'm walking away with my produce without even looking at me after me saying thank you to him. I'm totally fine with that, the guy has no manners and needs to grow older and learn. Nobody makes a fortune at the store and I'm also not entitled or pompous. I'm easy going and could care less. What I can't stand is having him to completely dismiss me in the most arrogant and rude way possible in front of everybody. I went there to buy smoked salmon in a package that already comes weighted from factory (brand named salmon), but somehow they reweighted in the store and wanted to charge more, saying that it weighs more... Absurd and also total Fraud by the way. So I ask this man and the only thing it comes out of his mouth was literally this, "we are told to do it, if you don't like it contact corporate". Incredible, "sure I will I thought". I asked this man, so who told you to weight this? He again replied "contact corporate" and started loudly calling a couple of older people behind me, who were not even paying attention since I was talking to him. He was rude to this older couple too, unbelievable. I am not the only one, this person has the same treatment for many customers. We go everywhere shopping, not even in Walmart we get treated like this. Then a little after, he went inside and I could see him from the glass windows, talking with another coworker, while looking at me with a smug face. I said then to myself, "that's enough..."The Fresh Market, Inc. Response

We received the guest's case and forwarded it to our senior leadership team for further review and to be addressed. We did not respond to the guest because he chose "No additional follow-up desired" when he submitted his case.Customer Response

Before your response I never used the online survey, which is the only way to opt out for a follow up. Prior this response I only used the contact form online which is totally different. So this is a lie. No one contacted me, which indicates just how bad management is in the store. After your response, then I did the online survey, and after mentioning the fact they never contacted me, then of course I got contacted by the store. I have to say the person was polite but it truly hurt him to leave that voicemail.Review from Kelly N

For the last six months I have been followed around and harassed at The Fresh Market Riverside Ave., Jacksonville, FL location by two female employees. One of the women often calls over other managers while she is watching (and then they watch together) and stands by the door as I leave. Aside from being a Loyalty Member where it is obvious I pay for my groceries, the scrutiny is so in my face they know by observation I am not a shoplifter. This is emotional abuse and at this point I also consider this to be sexual abuse. I feel stalked by both women and am utterly disgusted by their behavior. It must stop.The Fresh Market, Inc. The guest has completed an online Guest Care Form to share this with us. We have investigated her initial claim; as well as the numerous follow-up emails she has sent and have assured her that this is not happening. The team member in question doesn’t know this guest and our management team has not seen any type of questionable behavior by any of our team members.Review from Dee F

This guest completed a copy of our online Guest Care Form on 03/15/22 at 12:25pm to notify us about her visit. We have replied to her that we are experiencing a higher than normal volume and will contact her as soon as we are able. She left an email address that we will respond to.Review from Jen K

The in case seafood at Fresh Market is old. I just bought parmesan crusted tilapia and almond crusted salmon at Fresh Market in Jupiter, FL and they were terrible. I will never shop their prepared seafood again. I picked a Crab Mac n" Cheese from the case and the person behind the counter took ne over to a cooler and said the items in the case have been there for 2 months.The Fresh Market, Inc. Response
