I am writing to warn others about the unprofessional and unethical business practices of ***************************** and *************************** at Empower Commercial Group.When I moved into a condo managed by Empower Commercial Group, the unit was dirty and unkempt. I notified Empower Commercial Group of the condition of the unit, but they offered no assistance in cleaning it.Prior to moving in, I was told that the bright yellow walls would be painted before I arrived. However, on the day of my move-in, I was informed that there was not enough time to paint the walls. I was then told that I could paint the walls myself if I chose a neutral color. I purchased paint and supplies and painted the walls myself and sent pictures of the completed project to the owner and Empower Commercial Group.Upon my move-out, I was charged $250 per wall to repaint the walls back to yellow, as well as a cleaning fee. I had cleaned the unit thoroughly, and I have pictures and videos to prove it. I was never given the opportunity to repaint the walls, as the keys had already been turned in. I was also never informed that I had to repaint the walls back to yellow. Empower Commercial Group claims that this information was in the portal, but I never was informed of this (until after). I wouldn't have given the keys back had I known I should have painted walls back yellow. Empower Commercial Group was rude and argumentative throughout the entire process. They blamed the owner for the condition of the unit and the cleaning fee, but they were ultimately responsible for managing the property. They offered no help or assistance, and they stole my security deposit.I urge you to avoid doing business with Empower Commercial Group. They are unprofessional, unethical, and they will steal your money. I am not the only one who has had a negative experience with them. There are numerous negative reviews of Empower Commercial Group on ******* and I encourage you to read them before doing business with them.
