I apply for a rental property with Cyndi M. I paid my application fee with all documents. I was a little disappointed in how I was looked at , so I called back and told the receptionist that if I do not meet the criteria because I was a African American women please do not pull my credit report on March 11,2022. I received a email on this March 11, 2022 stated Thank you for your interest in the home we have listed at Perfection in Fayetteville North Carolina. Unfortunately this home does now have an approved applicant. Please visit our website at Peachtree Properties Fayetteville North Carolina as homes become available they will be posted there.

Then she call me on 03/14/2022 starting I was not approved for some other reason. I feel that this was base on tactics to get people application fee when you know you are going to denial them.

Each and every rental property receives multiple applications. This notification is clear and stated on the top of the application which is signed by the applicant. It states that if a more qualified applicant is chosen for that particular rental property, the credit report can be used on other properties in the future.
The application also states that income must be two and half times the rent and the credit score must be at least 640. As soon as the application is paid for and presented, the credit report and background check are ordered. There is not a race request on the application and applicants are not judged on race, nor are the Owners of the home. Peachtree has to pay a third-party vendor for the credit report and the$40 application fee is NOT a revenue for Peachtree Properties
The best application is based on length of employment, salary, credit and background as well as prior landlord comments.
I have never met Vanessa McNeill; my front desk personnel took her application and I processed. Simply. a better applicant was chosen for this particular property.
