      Horrible experience and would not recommend anyone to stay at a Bluewater Vacation Rental! We had nothing but issues while staying at the ************** and the homeowner refused to rectify any of the issues we had. Property was not at all like pictured, it was very deteriorated from the photos they show probably from the property being a lot newer. Homeowner is completely negligent on up keeping their property as a rental. We paid almost $19k for one week of stay at this house and we spent hours of our vacation time dealing with issues that the homeowner didnt prior to renting out and the Bluewater maintenance staff was incompetent to fix. I would NEVER recommend anyone to spend their hard earned money to stay at a Bluewater vacation rental. I would recommend stopping your searches with Bluewater vacation rentals and book with Emerald *********** instead. They have far better customer service, skilled maintenance staff and overall care for their clients. If a negative rating was as an option, thats what we would give Bluewater vacation rentals. Them and the homeowner of ************** should be ashamed of scamming people out of their hard earned money and not addressing their own negligence in maintaining the properties that they advertise. We will never rent from Bluewater vacation rentals again.

      We rented ***** Paws and encountered multiple issues, one being with c*** roaches that we were told were indigenous bugs by BW. Some being almost the size of the palm of our hand. We also had a freezer that would not seal correctly so it leaked ***eatedly on the floor and wouldnt keep food frozen and they sent someone out to check it twice but we were told it was nothing wrong with it. We had heavy rain while we were there and the drain in the drive way was stopped up so we had to walk through dirty stagnant water to get in and out of the one entrance to the house. We also had a leak in the ceiling that showed black mold right away once it started leaking. The maintenance guy came and sprayed bleach to cover the smell and take away the mold. It was very musty and it irritated our daughters asthma and allergies and we were told by the Bluewater customer service *** that nothing could be done to compensate all of our issues with our stay. It could be a be very nice house if the blue water realty managed their properties with the commitment that they claim they do in their mission statement.

      Our apologies for your disappointment. We responded immediately to address your reported concerns. Due to excessive rainfall and high temperatures this summer, we had water entry into homes, moisture, mildew, some flooding and as well as unwelcomed critters seeking shelter in homes. While this is beyond our control, we made every effort to quickly mitigate any issues to the best of our ability.

      Palmetto bugs, also known as water bugs live in dunes and vegetation along the **********. They vary in size from small (juvenile) to very large. While they are unable to survive inside for more than a few hours, we understand they can be unsettling for our guests. We would have been happy to send our exterminator to retreat the home for your comfort had we known prior to the day before your departure. 

      Our technicians tested the freezer door and were unable to recreate the issue you reported. We have received no other reports and the freezer is currently working correctly. We are very sorry you had an issue with this during your stay. 

      Our guests' experiences are our #1 priority. We are committed to ensuring your comfort and satisfaction during your stay. It is disappointing we missed the **** for your family. We sincerely apologize for the negative impact this had on your stay.

      We rented Kolbys Kottage for the week and thats when the battle with the cockroaches began. We killed at least 30 the first day. We know the standard response of the environment sometimes creates issues with bugs. This was beyond a minor infestation. We have them behind pictures on the walls, under the microwave, in the bathrooms, on the beds. This is our second bad experience with Bluewater: ************ is not holding the owners accountable for pest control that was obvious. No, we didnt call because of the last bad experience with them. ************ is motivated by greed not customer care or quality. The sad part is cockroaches are a major health concern because they can spread disease. Our daughter was terrified nightly that she would have one on her. I plan to continue to share our experience on every platform possible to warn others of this practices of this company. Simply poor management and performance by this company.

      Our apologies for your poor experience during your stay with us. We immediately inspected the home and took photos to include all areas reported in your ****** and BBB reviews on 8/11. We found 1 dead bug, no live bugs or evidence of infestations. During rainy weather and tropical storms like *****, which arrived during your stay, Palmetto bugs and other indigenous insects and critters seek shelter in homes. Our homes are on regular treatment schedules, and we have verified that the last treatment on this home was completed on August 6th by American Pest Control. We have not received any other reports from guests about this Cottage. 

      Our maintenance, housekeeping, and Guest Relations teams are available to assist at all times, including after-hours, for more urgent concerns. Because we received no reports during your stay, we weren't able to immediately help your family. Had you reached out to us, we would have responded right away, and if any type of infestation or issue were found that we couldn't rectify, we could have moved you to another home so you could enjoy your stay comfortably. 

      Our guests' experiences are our #1 priority. We are committed to ensuring your comfort and satisfaction during your stay. It is disappointing we missed the **** for your family and were unaware of your concerns until you departed. We sincerely apologize for the negative impact this had on your stay.

      DO not pay the extra money for the heated pool. Since we were early in the season we paid $704 for the pool to be heated. I was told the water would be warm 88 when we arrived for our check-in on Saturday evening , May 18th 2024 so the kids could swim. NOT so. I called to let them know, they sent a pool maintenance kid out who said the filter needed cleaned and he turned the heater back on. Monday were ready to swim and the water is chilly. Called again next day, another pool guy comes out says the pool filter needs cleaned, asked why not change the filter so they did. Worked later that evening. Couple days later the pool is chilly again. I called and they said they would reimburse me for a couple of days since the pool heater wasnt working properly. Well guess what now they are tell me they arent making good on their promise to reimburse a couple of days! While the cottage we stayed in was nice the customer service not provided by ********************** Realty EI has left a bad first impression and will not use or recommend them! Ill go back to EI Realty or VRBO. At least with VRBO you can deal directly with the homeowner. Im sure the owners of Stay Salty wouldnt be happy with Bluewaters handling of this situation. Oh, when the first young man came to check things out we said isnt this pool supposed to be saltwater and he said yes but its not anymore because of something wrong so changed to chlorine. Dang sounds like some major maintenance needs done on this pool. In addition the outside pool lights didnt work either and no one came to fix them our entire weeks stay! Bluewater doesnt seem to care! So beware!

We returned your call on 6/7 at which time we investigated the issue further and refunded your pool heat fee in full. Guest satisfaction is our highest priority, and it is our hope that we have made this right for you.

      Dont rent an expensive oceanfront house with Bluewater with the amenity of a private pool. Our unit had pool filled with copper and metals and is a safety hazard! Totally got ripped off and was not refunded properly for an entire weeks worth without a pool.

      My family rented ***** **** and ***** ****** from July 16 to July 23. The place was not ready for tenants as there was multiple items that were either hazardous, missing, not clean or even broken. They were made aware of multiple items during our visit. The list continue to add up as the week went home. We went there to relax, not have to continue to report items not ready in the house.
      I sent a lengthy email on 7/24/2022 that explained all the frustrations we had at their rental property. I did not hear from them. A few days later I received an email asking to let them know how our stay was and explained we were not happy and I had no intention of leaving a good review. I referred to the email I sent prior. I was told a manger would be reaching out as I checked enough “not satisfied” boxes. I have yet to hear from them via my email they have or my phone number.
      Just to mentioned a few items: cockroaches in the house dead and alive, open wires in multiple rooms, mold in bathrooms that has not been cleaned, debris left behind from construction works (paint, pesticides, wood, metal, etc), broken stair hand rail
