Do not honor your bonuses. Will tell you they will honor it and that they are escalating it so I could receive it and they dont even want to cancel my account as there is always an excuse saying that I will receive it soon but need to maintain my account open and its been months and no bonus. Its all fake even after I did all the requirements and they obtained ALL of my direct deposits. Horrible bank - save yourself the headache and go to Chase or ***** Fargo.Review from TERESA T

I CALLED BB&T WHOM I HAD DONE BUSINESS WITH AND THE CALL WAS ANSWERED BY ****** WHO HAS OBVIOUSLY PURCHASED BB&T. I HAVE A NEGATIVE ON MY CREDIT SCORE FOR WHEN MY $76,000 HOME REFINANCE WAS PAID OFF ON 6/14/19 ....ACCORDING TO THE REPORT I WAS OVER 30 DAYS LATE. ALSO, 6/14/2019 IS THE LOAN PAYOFF DATE. THE ACCOUNT BALANCE IS "$0". THE REPORT SHOWS ALL PREVIOUS PAYMENTS ON TIME!!! I KEPT IN TOUCH WITH THE **** ON THE LAST PAYMENT AS THE BUYERS OF OUR PROPERTY HAD ISSSUES OF THEIR OWN BEFORE CLOSING.IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE THIS NEGATIVE REMOVED AND IF NOT WHY?I CAN NO LONGER FIND INFORMATION FOR A CREDIT BUREAU IN ********, **?? I tried to open account with this ********************** and some how I ended up in there fraud ***** what a nightmare I have been going thru. first since I couldnt complete their security they canceled my accounts and had a guy Mr *********************** contact me to help me with my issue with the bank. what a joke that has been still going on to this day. So he instructed me to do several things that I felt where fraud related. So I begged him to contact my bank and talk to them so they knew what was going on, no I was told and I was also instructed to not to talk to my bank? so the first check he sent me had to be deposited via ATM only, didnt understand that so I asked why his response was this is the only way I can help you madam???? So in the end after all my pleading he sent the check and I deposited into my account, then he cancels the check my bank freaked out. Then I was because he was sending me company money and I was to return 7000 from the ****** that was sent. So then I said why cant you just mail the checks to me instead of all the other garbage. The. I .finally rechecked the checks again had to be deposited via ATM still didnt understand, so my bank would not run them thru instead called to called to get verification from the company and was told that they could not validate the checks therefore she locked me out of my account. Now since *************** closed my account, And ********************** has harassed me are me to purchase a card for a 1000 dollars to get some code so they can send me the money, This started in Feb 2024 and it is May 8, 2024 and still no checks and no money. How is that your still doing business. Therefore I give this company and Mr *********************** a big fat 0. Thanks *****************Review from Ratna P

ZERO STAR. I have put a star forcibly So disappointed with Truist. I can't schedule direct deposit to another Truist account. After ********************** got merged with BB&T it is horrible. All the good features are gone now. BIG USELESS BANK.Review from Jennifer C

We took an interest free loan w them secondary from ***************************************** in **. They set up payment plan and stated since there was 0.4 cents default in loan and now we have to pay almost $3,000 over. The are deliberate scammers! Beware !!!!!!!Review from Aang L

Zero stars. This is a terrible company with no customer **********************. They refused to verify my identity because I had a new phone number after living overseas for two years. When I asked them to work around my new phone number, they insisted that this was the only way to verify my identity, despite the fact that I gave them my SSN, DOB, old phone numbers, and have numerous federal IDs to verify my identity. Title: Terrible Experience with Truist I've been a loyal customer of ********************** for years, but my recent experience has been incredibly disappointing. An unauthorized charge of $1700 was deducted from my checking account, and despite multiple calls for assistance, they have been utterly unhelpful. Their lack of concern for long-term clients is appalling. To make matters worse, I was even hung up on during one of my calls. As a result, I had no choice but to close all my accounts with them. The WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER WITH ANY BANK! After reading these complaints, I am definitely seeing a pattern- I Pray someone help all of us who are experiencing funds being held captive due to claims of fraud!!!!!! I opened an account with Truist Bank in September 2023. I tried to cash my payroll check, which came from my place of employment in November 2023. I had to wait for the check to clear which was fine. Then after the check cleared I was told that the check set off some type of fraudulent activity and the funds cannot be released. I have tried to show them proof of who I was by traveling 6 hours to the nearest branch and nothing. They told me to contact my jobs HR Department to see about getting the check recalled, which the check is in the amount $1410.12. My HR department contacted the issuer of the check, ***** *****************, and was told since the check is cashed and the funds were released they cannot recall the check. My HR personnel even tried speaking to someone from Truist but nothing or no one answered or seems to assist. In February of ****, I was told to get a letter from my HR showing that the check in fact came from my job but I would have to go or contact a local branch, which is over 4 hours away, for the bank personnel to email to the claims department BECAUSE the claims department do not have an email that customer can send documentation to. Currently, my account has been closed by Truist and my money of $1410.12 is just sitting in a closed account and NO ONE cant seem to tell me when, how, or if Im going to get my money back. I really need some assistance! All I did was cashed my paycheck into my account and here I am 3 months later still cannot access my funds.Review from Jack w

*Negative *************** has my name spelled 3 ways, making it impossible to link to another account to make automated payments on a mortgage.The very first interaction we had with this dreadful lump of c*** bank involved 4 hours on the phone straightening out their problems with buying mortgage from Freedom Mortgage (who had bought it from someone else).Today, almost 2 hours online and on the phone simply trying to link a bank account. Can't be done online because they have my name wrong. So I waded through endless phone trees and had to hang up (sent into phone limbo by customer rep) and call and go through it all again.MAYBE the issue will be handled. We'll see. (Chat is even more useless, BTW). Having asked to speak with a manager, was told I could expect to wait 24 to 48 hours. Ha ha ha. We'll see.As with others, I recommend avoiding this bank completely. Can't wait to pay off the mortgage.
