ON Feb 3, 2022 We had a Furnace installed by Comfort Systems USA Temp Right Service of ********.The total price was $5158.00 Of dispute is: the hourly rate we were billed which exceeds $600.00/hr when their service rate is 150.00/hr Failure to provide and itemized list of costs to justify their billing and so the consumer know what they are paying for. Failure to resolve dispute and a fair an amicable manner that demonstrates good faith and fair dealing. Misrepresentation of what was being sold- 800 dollar furnace+ labor, -vs- full price furnace and $800 kickback form Carrier. In initial price conversation with *******************, I was told option B would be around $3000.00 for parts and labor for a replacement furnace. **** then came back with a more refined bid of $4200.00. I asked why the price increase and **** cited, "Increased labor costs, start-up and testing of new furnace, disposal fees." This seemed reasonable at the time and given the fact that it was February in ******* and I have two small children, I said OK. My priority was to get heat in the house for my family. I then received a final official proposal for $5158.00 and signed the service contract. After signing the proposal, I realized that somehow the $800.00 replacement furnace plus labor had somehow morphed into a new furnace at full price ($5158) with a $800.00 rebate from Carrier. This is a little different from what I was sold on and is the root of the price conflict. I know this was not a mistake or a miscommunication between myself and ****, as I initially questioned the $800.00 price for a replacement furnace, but **** stated "since it was a replacement for a furnace known to be faulty it was covered by Carrier" I specifically asked ****- what would this new furnace cost if for example we were replacing a 40 year old furnace, **** said "about 5K" I asked, but we are getting a new furnace for $800.00 plus labor? **** said - Yes!Business response

There was a miscommunication with our vendor. Once the mistake was discovered, the issue was resolved with the customer to the customer's satisfaction.
