Hired JRB Construction *** for repairs from water damage after washer leaked upstairs into downstairs kitchen on 12/8/21. Servpro completed demolition, drying, and mold checks. JRB Construction *** bid the job and written contract signed 1/4/22 that included kitchen ceiling, LVP flooring, upstairs trim for $7,175.53. The signed contract was violated with all 3 job descriptions.Ceiling Kitchen: JRB Construction *** did not paint kitchen walls as noted in contract, just the upper few inches to couch up from ceiling texture. Paint was matched, and I will accept this task completed. I requested an itemized **** and receipts for work, as I would like to fairly pay for this service.Kitchen Flooring: Contract from JRB Construction quotes Labor and material to removed approximately ********************************** kitchen area, living room, storage room, and bathroom. Water damaged caused seams and edges of flooring to shrink and buckle. Price includes remove and re-install of approximately 102 lf of existing baseboards, remove and re-install existing toilet and pedestal sink. Labor and material to install approximately 326 sf of comparable LVP flooring. Customer to approve color prior to starting job. JRB installed laminate without approval or change order from contracted LVP. Installer from JRB used saw and cut some our existing baseboards and removed and nailed back on others resulting in damage and uneven sizes to all but one baseboard for entire main floor. We do not approve sub par materials, unsatisfactory installation, or accept warranty void for warranty voiding unapproved fix for 106 different flooring and trim damages, as well as damaged they caused to pantry and pocket door. I have attempted twice to reach resolution for flooring, but JRB Construction will only do spot repair for flooring to move forward and complete contracted job and will not return communication or arrive to agreed days for work.3.Upstairs: Not started or completed.

      Resolution specialist,

*** vs  JRB Construction. I wanted to update you and speak with you on case updates.

Contacted JRB and they are unwilling to warranty or repair work. They state they are waiting for inspection from republic flooring rep from ****** flooring. I spoke with manager from ****** flooring and they fee this is installation damage and are not getting the rep for inspection. This is a dead end.

I had carpet one do a formal bid where they found extensive damage to flooring consistent with install damage suggesting full replacement. Also noted significant damage to flooring trim caused by JRB.

today I had a flooring trim bid started and the damage to the main floor trim is so significant its full replacement of the entire main floor, including every door casing complete rebuild from significant undercutting (contract clearly states to remove and re-install).

My personal insurance doesnt cover damage from contractor and states JRB has to provide his insurance information. I have requested that as the damage more than the cost of the project they wont repair or finish.

Next Thursday I have a certified home inspector scheduled to report and bid full home damage including damage to plumbing  cause by JRB bolting down the toilet and sink without proper seal when they installed laminate (contract clearly states LVP) and flushed the toilet 3 weeks ago where it leaked. JRB decided to leave toilet and sink bolted down and unhooked. Now residence is nearly unlivable from the odor of sewer and stagnant water for 3 weeks.

Im desperate to get these repairs done for my own personal health, and current moving across state and unable to sell do to incomplete project and damages beyond being able to sell. . What rights do I have as a consumer to get their company insurance information to submit a claim for damages they caused?  Have you been able to contact them?
