Put stop payment with fib on three payments they let them go through and was out the money now have no money won't refund my money and allowed my mortgage company withdraw from my account putting me in a 500 dollar negative in my account worse bank I've ever banked with have a advance line of credit through them can't even get ahead of that to pay it off on top of that had fraud on my account 5 times and changed my debit card 3 timesFirst Interstate Bank Response

Absolutely horrible customer service since they laid off their entire mortgage/construction loan department! Flat-out refusal to speak over the phone, they will only email, and there's awful communication with local branches. Do not get your loans or mortgages here!Review from Kelsey S.

Quite frankly I don't know where to begin. I was a loyal FIB employee for nearly 10 years and I am still an FIB customer with multiple accounts. As an employee we are set up with a ************** FSA with that we have access to tax-free funds to reimburse for child care which is a godsend in this type of market. However, I was laid off unexpectedly due to no fault of my own in June 2023 due to significant decrease in Mortgage production as a whole. I was provided the standard separation agreement (with the largest explanation going over non-competing/non-solicitation clause) but regardless, we were also provided documentation of what to expect with our Medical, Dental Vision, and PTO benefits. None of these documents explained anything about my FSA or HSA. To my surprise when I logged into the online portal to create a claim on my ********* care FSA it was gone. No account existed. Turns out the funds were forfeited back to the employer. I called FIB and they are "unable to help or amend the dates of the deadline". She did however say the information was available on Workday, an internal system used for pay/benefits (ha!). So in turn, I lose out on $1600 because FIB did not disclose that there was a deadline to claim any funds or else they were forfeited. You'd think they'd like to include that information on the separation agreement, but who am I to say? At a local level, I love the employees. As a corporation, shame on them. Seeing that "Integrity" is a big one of their values you'd think they would do right by the employees.First Interstate Bank Response

Terrible business banking. FIB does NOT operate like a community bank. Doesn't matter if you're a ************** ******* business trying to do good work. Bad service and zero flexibility.Moreover, the web interface is old and clunky. We were willing to overlook that in hopes of getting good service and supporting a local institution. So much for that.I have a personal mortgage loan with this bank x 7 years and thought that would create good faith in the banking relationship. Nope.First Interstate Bank Response

For one month I didnt have insurance on my vehicle because of a confusion with my bank and declined payments. First interstate assigned an insurance for one month charging me over $1000. First they said it was $200 and today I called because they keep charging me and the person I spoke to said I have to pay o er $1000 for insurance for one month. THE WORST **** IN THE ***** AREA. THEY TOOK OVER GREAT WESTERN ****, AND WILL PUT THE **** OUT OF BUSINESS. I CLOSED MY BUSINESS AND MY PERSONAL ACCOUNT AFTER MY DEBIT CARDS WERE SHUT OFF 3 TIMES. THEY WOULDN'T LET ME TAKE OUT $1000 ON MY DEBIT CARD WITHOUT SHUTTING MY CARDS OFF. WENT TO **** ON 93RD AND ***** AND SPOKE TO ****ER NAMED ***** TO TRY AND FIGURE OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AND HE COULDN'T EVEN RETURN A PHONE CALL TO ME. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. BUT THEY DID OFFER ME A FREE SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX TO NOW CLOSE BOTH MY ACCOUNTS WITH OVER 100K IN THEM. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE *** THEY GO OUT OF BUSINESS. WOULD GIVE THEM A NEGATIVE 5 STAR REVIEW BUT I HAVE TO LEAVE AT LEAST 1 STAR TO POST THIS.Review from Pam B

This bank took over for another in ***** ** and the surrounding areas. They WILL NOT post your payroll deposit on the day you are paid sometimes it's two days later. They will WILL NOT post transfers from checking to checking or savings to checking for up to 5 days!! It's MY money why are they holding it like that. 24 hour phone banking will give you a different balance in your account every hour of the day when NOTHING has changed. My husband's account has been hacked three times in just the five months they've been in business here. They cleared a check in July, then cleared it again in November. Still waiting for that money back. THIS BANK IS OPERATING JUST LIKE ***** FARGO!!!!First Interstate Bank Response

Worst bank I've ever had!!! I trusted them and they let me down big time and I lost $20,000!!! Thanks a lot fraud team for your amazing work!!!!!!! NOT. SCAMMED OUT OF $20,000 AND THEY WON'T BACK IT. THIS WAS MY HUSBAND'S MONEY, HE IS A DISABLED VETERAN AND WE LIVE ON HIS DISABILITY!!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND YOU TO MY WORST ENEMY.
