Friday, June 16th, my girlfriend and her mom dropped my truck off around 8AM at Wade Tire to have a few new tires/rims put on my truck. I received a call from Wade Tire around noon that same day that my truck was ready to be picked up. I work out of town, so my girlfriend's parents went and picked the truck up for me that afternoon. Sunday, the 18th, when I returned from being out of town, I noticed that the top left of the tailgate/tail light was extremely scratched up. It also looked as though someone had attempted to buff out the scratches, as well as paint over the scratches. The truck had been sitting at my girlfriend's house since her parents picked it up that Friday. Nothing would have happened at their house, nor would they have had the time/equipment to try to fix anything if an issue was to have occurred there. Additionally, they would have informed me if any accidents had occurred on their part. They are also witnesses to the scratches/damages not being present before my truck was taken to the shop. Monday, June 19th, was a holiday; Wade Tire was closed. I called them that Tuesday, June 20th, and have reached out to them via text and phone call several times since. I've called and texted both the owner's personal cell phone as well as called the shop itself. The owner has responded to me only a handful of times since, and is now not responding at all. One of the times that he reached out to me, it was very late at night and he was evidently intoxicated, but friendly. I've allowed ample time for him to review the video footage he states that he has, as well as given him more than enough time to respond. I am asking that they review all of the footage, provide you (BBB) or myself with the footage, to show whether or not this damage occurred at his shop. If it did, I request that they pay all costs to have the damages repaired, by a repair shop of my choice. If they are unable to for any reason, they at least need to pay my deductible for insurance.
