My Mama passed away on 6/6/21. We ordered a monument from Mississippi Monuments, Inc on HWY 49 in Jackson. We looked around at many places but the prices were more in what we could afford. The process was miserable. Had we known what we had gotton ourselfs into we wish we could turn back time. They have no email. They have no social media. They have no google page. They rarely answer the phone. You have to make any changes via a text message. It was a horrible experience. The headstone was late we were told due to covid but As of April 2022 my Mama still did not have her headstone. This was no longer an issue of covid because so many other families with loved ones that had passed away already had theirs within 6 months. Even my uncle who passed last November already had his headstone before his sister who passed in June. The company was extremely rude. The new owner got down right ugly with me on the phone(keep in mind we have little closure over my mamas death). The owner finally confessed that it was an oversight and the "paperwork changes for the headstone of a graphics change" were still sitting on the administrative ladies desk. She never turned them in. I basically told the man in my Mama did not have here headstone by 6/6/22 I was going to be seeing further action. Luckily this helped and it was set in place a few days before, but my 86 year old Daddy was completely taken advantage of in this entire situation and others need to know to NOT deal with this company. They do not take price in honoring the dead nor do they care. We were given so many excuses of not enough workers , we don't have time, it's a covid issue, just one issue after another and these people had my Daddy's money up front. Do not use Mississippi Monument company!!!!! I have let this set in a while before I submitted this complaint and had time to chill out a bit and wait a while before I said what I really wanted to say.
