I was trying to seek money back from the company I had a moved for Thursday July 7 but I went to jail on Wednesday July 6 and didn’t get out until Friday July 8 2022 and I called the company to seek my money back and they told me I couldn’t get any money backBusiness response

We are sympathetic to the fact that this customer went to jail during her designated move time, however, we were not notified that the move was not going to be able to be completed until after the move was supposed to take place. Our policy is put in place because our schedule is finite and we were not given the opportunity to fill the schedule spot with a different move because of the lack of communication from our customer. We will be sticking to our cancellation policy for this customer.Initial Complaint

On 9/7/2021 in Gulfport, MS...**** and his partner moved me and a glass cabinet was broken and when **** was removing the protective cover he acted so surprised that it was broken and even had the nerve to ask was it like that before the move. Like really you knew good well it wasn't broken when you wrapped it up but yea he tried me but he couldn’t deny it so he owned up to that one. Now they both had already mentioned that if they break something it comes out of their check and they hate and etc....Thank God I had purchased the 50.00 insurance. He also sat a bin on top of my brand new wood table top and the bin scratched it up. I was told that because I slide the bin off the table that I’m responsible for the table being scratched. I’m a single woman and mother at that and that’s why I paid 942.00 to be professionally moved and all my things to be properly placed on the floor. The moving process was done at 4:45 pm which was at a 5.25 hour window for me. I left to get my kids fromBusiness response

We are handling all damages our team created. We are not handling the damage that the customer created. Ms. ***** slid a container across her table scratching it and expects us to cover the cost to repair that. We could not keep our business open if we had to repair every piece of furniture that was damaged by our customers. We have explained this to Ms. ***** at length multiple times, and it would appear that this is not the answer she is looking for. I can appreciate Ms. *****'s attempt to exhaust all measure to try and force us to do as she wishes, but it does not change the way we will be handling her claim.
