      In July 2022 I brought my 2016 GMC 2500 diesel Sierra Denali to Mandal for new brakes and tires. Paid $4,665.19 and the truck squeaked every time you stopped and the right front tire required air every week. We brought it back 4 times and dealt with the same person- *****. Nothing was ever fixed, he would give some bullshit excuse about nails in the tires (there was NO nails) and even said there was a couple missing parts? What parts?? You put the brakes and tires on… what did you leave off? He would dodge the question and never answer you. Also, he would never have an invoice . showing any work was done…. (Likely because no work was ever done). We had an unrelated issue with the DEF exhaust and brought it to *** ****** Chevrolet, they fixed the DEF issue AND the tire that turned out to be a leaking valve stem! 4 times and you couldn’t figure that out? Also, some idiot put a plastic lug nut on the tire…plastic on a 2500 and they knew we pull a 40ft camper! This place is an accident waiting to happen zero regard for human life.

      I bought a 2019 GMC Canyon from the dealership. The detail shop broke a part connected to my back glass and not only does the entire back glass needs replaced, but so does the tint that I paid for after I bought the truck. After several attempts to resolve the matter, ***** in the service department told me he's not going to pay for it and he's not going to lose sleep over it. I've had enough of being put off with this issue. The next time I get the chance, I'm getting an attorney and calling the news! I've had enough of excuses and being put off continuously about resolving this for months!

      Have reached out to customer. The trim piece, as seen in the past, falls off when window tinting has been performed. The trim fell behind the seat at some point, however, our detail department does not do anything with the rear glass during the Auto Butler he was having performed. the customer discarded the trim piece, otherwise could have been potentially reinstalled. Customer was out of town for a period of time while ***** tried to procure the part from GM, as it is not service seperately. The customer is from Florida and he told ***** that the GMC dealer over there was going to replace the glass under warranty, but that he would need to re tint his window, which ***** told him he would be able to get that handled for him. The dealer in Florida ultimately declined replacing the unit due to the miles on the vehicle being out of warranty.

      Mandal does not deserve one star, but fortunately for them I had to select at least one. Bought my 2020 vehicle in November 2019 in Slidell, La. between Slidell and Mandal, Mandal is the closer gmc dealership and service department. In December of 2019, started noticing issues with my infotainment system (camera not working, screen black, park assist sensor turning off). Set up an appointment with Mandal and took it in. I stayed for the repairs and was at the dealership for over 4 hrs. They told me they did not find anything wrong but if I kept having the issues, to bring it back in. About a month later, I began noticing streaks across my infotainment screen, camera not working, and park assist sensors going out again. This time I recorded when the sensors and camera went out. About this time it was time for my first oil change. I scheduled the oil change, and when I went in, I showed them the videos. The man that I spoke to told me they can do the oil change, however if they run a diagnostics on the electrical they would have to keep the vehicle for a minimum of 48 hrs and they did not have a loaner to offer. We agreed to just have the oil changed and HE would personally contact me when the loaner was available. Never received a call. Months went by still having the same issues. (During this time was the summer lockdown, and I was expecting, so going out in public was not ideal) Then it was time for our second oil change. The appointment was set up thru the gmc app and I made sure to have a few other items checked out including recalls. The same guy I spoke to before was very rude with my husband and questioned whether or not a ‘woman’ really made good decisions on what services were needed for my vehicle. He had to be reminded his place, and that those comments were not conducive with good customer service. This was March 2021. Shortly after that oil change a new issue started to show with the electrical sensors. The emergency brake sensor (this senses the proximity of vehicles in front of the vehicle, and if your vehicle is too close the brakes are automatically applied, there is also a red light warning on the inside of the windshield). This sensor will randomly hit the brakes with nothing in front of the vehicle. It happened twice, in two different drive-thrus (nobody in front of me), twice in a very dangerous intersection (I was the first car at the light, again, nothing in front of me), once with my husband pulling out of the driveway (nothing in front) and another time turning out of my neighborhood (not one car around me). Contacted Mandal, and was told the same line ‘we need the car for a minimum of 48 hrs’ and they didn’t have a loaner. I immediately called GMC directly. Surprisingly, while speaking with GMC, they had no idea my 2020 vehicle has been having electrical/sensor issues because the only thing Mandal reported to them was the broken sunroof latch and my first oil change. A case was created for my vehicle and they explained their rental car agreement with me. Scheduled an appointment to drop off my vehicle on a Thursday evening and they would contact me when they have finished the diagnostics. I also told them there was a case open with GMC about the brake sensors and asked if they needed the case number. I was told they didn’t need the case number, because when they pull the vin number the case number would already be on file. Saturday afternoon still did not receive a call. I took the initiative to call them because I needed my vehicle and they are closed on Sunday. They had my vehicle for almost two days, and the only effort they put towards my car was to ran the system for codes (I could have done that at autozone) and the technician drove it around for a bit with no issues. No phone call, no update, nothing. The man on the phone basically told me there is nothing they can do. This is where the lies and panic set in for Mandal… I asked if they reported it to GMC. They did not. Then I asked if they needed the case number… I was put on hold while he checked with the technician. When he came back on the line he said “this is definitely an electrical issue and we need to keep it another day (which meant Monday the earliest)”. They literally wasted my time, they had no intentions of helping me until I told them there was an official case open on my vehicle, then wanted to be serious about the issues on my car. Told them I will be picking up my vehicle IMMEDIATELY and filing a complaint with GMC. (Which I did, it is attached to my case). When I picked up the vehicle the SAME man that was rude to my husband and who originally told me about not having loaners and said would call me, tried to make every excuse imaginable to put the blame on someone else. On the way home from Mandal, I called ****** to scheduled an appointment. Before I even told her my name, she knew my name, vehicle, the salesman who we worked with, knew all the recalls on my vehicle and was actively taking notes on what I was saying about my vehicle. She attached my GMC case number to my appointment notes, and even offered to have my vehicle towed to the dealership, on them, so that I wouldn’t have to make the drive. THAT is customer service! I have always taken my vehicles to Slidell for service repairs. Unfortunately for this new vehicle, I chose convenience over quality by choosing Mandal. I will not make that mistake again.

      I spoke with Mrs. M******** and agreed that she encountered a couple of experiences that we as a company are not happy with. Our obvious goal is to satisfy all of our customers and unfortunately, in her last couple of experiences with us, we fell short of meeting her expectations. She has an intermittent issue that is difficult to duplicate, and as a result of both this, along with her experiences with us, I am providing on behalf of GM, an extended component coverage for her vehicle for 60months/100,000 miles.
