I took my car to them to fix a leak I had on my truck. They said it was fixed. I asked if they could look at a leak near the window. I brought it home. I am selling it and I had a buyer for it. When I tried to open the convertible top, it never opened. It made the noise like it was but it didn't. I reached out to the business to ask if they tried to even close the top. If they did, why didn't they notice and tell me about it. I have tried reaching them and they have not returned any of my calls.Business response

We have tried to reach Ms. ***** several times via phone and email with no response. When we initially repaired her vehicle we installed a window regulator in her driver's side door. We only charged her $35 to install as the vehicle was not in the best shape and we were trying to help her out. We had issues with the top at the time and told her it was not working 100%. We are more than happy to take a look and see what we can do to fix the top.

I am rejecting this response because:I don't know what they are talking about, I know nothing about a replacement window regulater in the door, it isn't what the car was there for. The $34 was for a repair to the trunk, after which I asked if they could fix the leak at the bottom corner of the window that is afixed to the convertible top, probably just a silicone repair, they offered to try. a week later they said it was fixed and I picked it up, I had even left the tube of silicone, as I was going to try to fix it my self originally. I didn't answer the owner's e=mail because you told me not to. I don't know whose story they relayed to you, but it has nothing to do with my car, I can't believe all this, it's unbelievable.

I apologize for the confusion, we have another ******* ***** in the system which had a window regulator put in her vehicle and I thought it was this one since it was also a Mustang Convertible.
We did fix the trunk and attempted to fix the leak on the window but not 100% sure if it worked. We are more than happy to check out the top and see what can be done however we need to see the vehicle. I've personally tried on two occasions to contact Ms. ***** via email with no response. We are open from 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday so please stop by anytime for us to check out the issue.
I'm confident we did not damage the top but if we did we will fix whatever damage we caused.

I am rejecting this response because: I am having a hard time believing there are two ******* *****s with Mustang convertibles having repairs done at Same Day Auto, but I guess it's not impossible, I am going to have to check it out. I can understand Mr. *****s request to be able to see my car in order to assess the problem, and decide if they are at fault, but he needs to understand that when I brought my car to Same Day Auto the convertible top was in working condition, I would have taken the car to a local body shop, I have used over the 50 years I have lived in Fenton, if I thought the repairs I was looking for were major. I would not have brought the car to Same Day Auto for repairs on a malfunctioning convertible top. Prior to leaving my car at Same Day I had a loose bumper fixed and had the car re-inspected, which wasn't due yet and had a $400.00 power steering motor installed, because I need to sell the car, and thought I had everything taken care of except the trunk and window leak and thought I would give Same Day a try thinking thy were so close and probably could handle it. Do you really believe I would not have remembered to have a top that didn't work right fixed? I haven't tried to put the top back up since I was showing a perspective buyer the car, and it didn't work, the man had to help me finish put the top down, and it's been in my garage that way ever since. Talk about being embarrassed! I have been seriously taken aback by health problems the past 3 weeks, and have just gotten out of the hospital 3 days ago, and have to got back tomorrow, which I hope will be for only a day I need to sell the car, I am an 82 year old widow, my husband passed away 2 yrs. agoi, I can't afford 2 cars. There has to be a solution, that is good for us both. I'm not trying to be hard to get along. I just don't have anyone but my self to look after my self. I could have sold the car for $4000 3 weeks ago when I thought the top worked fine, I'm not sure what I can get for it now , the longer it takes the worse it is for me. A possible solution might be an unenvolvled local body shop we both agree upon making a assessment of the problem.
