      On May 20, 2025, I entered into a signed contract with Vets Driveway Co., LLC for a 416 square foot concrete patio extension at my home. The contract totaled $2,800, plus an additional $400 for rebar. I sent a payment of $1,800 upfront via Venmo ($1,400 deposit + $400 for rebar). The job was to be completed at my home, and the work began on May 22 with excavation.Shortly after excavation, the crew encountered tree roots and informed me they could not proceed until they were removed. I had the roots removed promptly so the project could continue. However, communication with the company quickly declined. I was told on several occasions that delays were due to a broken-down trailer or vehicle and inclement weather. Despite these explanations, I received vague or no responses to my follow-ups.The crew returned once to drop some gravel and begin partial framing, but they did not finish the base work and never returned to complete the job. The rebar was never installed, and no concrete was poured.After that, my phone calls and text messages to the number listed on the contract stopped going through entirelyI received a call restriction message, indicating I was likely blocked. I then resumed contact via ******** Messenger with the individual who originally posted the job listing, Stef Card. While my messages were marked as read, I received only a couple brief replies and no commitment to return or refund any portion of my ********** of today, June 25, 2025, I have not received a refund nor a timeline for work to be completed. I have made numerous good-faith efforts to resolve this issue directly, including offering flexibility around scheduling and weather. I sent a final written request on June 23 stating that I would escalate the matter if I received no reply, and still received no response.
