BEWARE..!! I had a horrible experience with this company today while trying to conduct a wellness check on a client because she was not returning my calls from last week; nor did she answer the phone today so I was greatly concerned. I work in the Home Healthcare Field. I drove my car to the address in her file and parked my car to walk around to try and locate her building, I had NEVER visited her before and was not familiar with the grounds where she lived. I located her buiding and the front desk clerk told me she had seen the client today which satisfied me that she was okay. Upon leaving her building I spotted my car being towed away and I immediately gave chase. When I caught up with the driver of Ninth Street Towing he told me to give him $175 "CASH" and he would unhook my car. I didn't have that kind of cash on me and he told me to go to the gas station across the street and use the *** and he would wait. I asked why he was towing me in the first place. He said I was parked in a spot that required a permit. The spot I was in had NO sign bu the sign was in the spot next to mine. When I mentioned that to him he said the sign if for the entire lot..!! Well who in their right mind could have known that...!! I called the cops, his boss, my boss, the manager of the apartment leasing office to complain while he waited. Cops didn't come, buidling manager said they could do nothing because they contracted with the company to handle everything. His boss gave sided with him. I asked why they needed cash and couldn't accept credit? The towing manager said and I quote "because we would have countless disputes with the credit card company". I can see why. I am filing a complaint with this company because there is something fishy about them. I paid the money because I needed my car but I think they should be investigated. Just check the ****** reviews on their website. I'm not done with this issue but I want consumers to know that something is not right with them.

      ***********************
*************** to your review from our encounter on 08/08/2023.
Per our conversation yesterday, you were going to Council Towers but parked in the Midtown Apartments parking lot.
Midtown Apartments has placed 12 of our signs on the perimeter of their parking lot with WARNING / NO PARKING in big red letters.  Above those signs Midtown has placed signs on those poles that state Midtown tenant parking.  On each of the parking spots, there is a MT-##.  So, while there was not a sign in front of the spot you parked, there are multiple signs everywhere. Even one beside the one where you parked.
Our driver had already left the parking lot when he saw you waving him down.  At that point, he did not need to return to the Midtown lot, but he did return.  This allowing you the chance to be offered the drop fee, which are you complaining about.  Had the car been taken to our shop the price would have been double.
We do not accept credit/debit cards for a variety of reasons, including the disputes.  This is a no-win situation for us, because if we accepted cards, it would cost more AND wed be accused of making money off that process.  Same with having an ATM close.
We do not perform broke-down towing, so we do not meet people who are having a good day.  We are as respectful as possible but do give as good as we get.
While you may not like this business, you are okay taking someone elses PAID parking spot.
