Back on 08/19/23, I was one of 3 people who hit a piece of concrete on Westbound Hwy 70. I was riding my 2023 Kawasaki zx636. I didn't wreck, but when I got the motorcycle to the side of the highway, it did tip over on the left side. My boyfriend called a tow truck to come pick up me and the motorcycle and by the time me and the tow truck made it to my boyfriend's house in St. Peters, the motorcycle had fallen over on the right side and took on some damage. I contacted ****** Motorsports and turned in a claim to ***** ****, and also called the tow Company to report the incident with the driver. A few days later, the shop owner, **** ******, had my motorcycle towed to his shop and put together an Estimate for ***** **** and a separate Estimate for the tow Company, because they wanted to settle out of Insurance. ***** **** issued the check to **** for the damages, but also created fraudulent charges, which came to $5,475.55, that is without my $500.00 deductible. He also had the tow Company send their check to him, which I didn't authorize, in the amount of $3,172.01. He collected all that money and has blocked me and is now refusing to give me my bike or my insurance money. Because he isn't a Select Repair Shop for ***** ****, they never should have issued him the check for $5,475.55, but they did. My boyfriend and another friend went there on 09/27/23 with a trailer to pick it up and he refused to give it to them and told them to get out of his shop. My bike had been completely taken apart, which isn't necessary, since it only needed new wheels and tires to run. He is making unnecessary claims that it needs other things fixed, but I didn't authorize any of what he is claiming. On 09/19/23, **** sent me a picture of my new tires and wheels put together and ready to go on the bike, but when they went to pick it up yesterday, he had taken them apart and claimed my tires weren't even in yet. I want my money and my motorcycle returned to me.Business response

***** **** paid me to do an estimate of the damage and repair the motorcycle. ***** **** does not have “Select Repair Shop” available for motorcycle shops but I am in good standing with ***** **** and will continue to do repairs for them. During the course of this repair Ms. ***** was unreasonable to deal with and halfway through the repair she demanded money back instead of repairing the motorcycle. Because the vehicle has a bank lien it would be fraud to take the money and not repair it. It is still difficult to get some parts post covid but we sometimes can make substitutions. Originally the OEM tires were backordered so we substituted some Michelins instead of Bridgestone. Before the motorcycle repairs were done the original Bridgestones became available so we swapped those out. Because Ms. ***** was being difficult we did not want to stray from ***** ****s invoice with any substitutions. Every line item on the ***** **** invoice was done with the exception of decals which ***** **** is aware and will be refunded. Many times body parts don’t include the decals so we had those separate on the invoice. ***** **** has apologized to me for Ms. ***** calling repeatedly and being unreasonable. ***** **** asked me to continue and finish the job so we did. When the motorcycle was in the middle of being repaired Ms. ***** and ex boyfriend wanted to pick it up but there were no wheels/body parts/electrics on it and it would have been dangerous and unsafe to take the motorcycle unfinished which would also be a liability.
At this point the motorcycle is finished. We sent HD video of the repairs to ***** **** and had Ms. ***** sign a form stating she has inspected the motorcycle and accepted delivery for the motorcycle. On the same form she also paid the $500 insurance deductible owed for the repairs. This was also recorded on the shop security video cameras. I have plenty of screen shots acknowledging payments and that those payments are for repairs using OEM Kawasaki parts.
A&A towing also sent me payment to repair the accidental damage from towing. The same situation as above we are refunding A&A for stickers that were included with the body parts. The exhaust that Ms. ***** wanted to replace the damaged one with was back ordered part #*********. With the difficulties we were having with Ms. ***** we did not want to put aftermarket parts on her motorcycle that could void any factory warranties. Those parts would have also required other parts and additional labor so the muffler was replaced with the same OEM muffler that was on it.
At this point the repairs are done, she has accepted the motorcycle is in perfect shape, and paid the balance owed.
We will respectfully decline anymore work Ms. ***** would want done in the future and recommend she goes to a different shop for further upgrades or repairs.
