I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered from SS. I returned 4 orders in one bag and included the packing slips in the bag. One order was credited and the other merchandise was not credited back. 3 swim suits, one I asked for an exchange. 3 tops at approx 100 each Over $500.00. All information was on my account on web site. It was not the first time I had returned multiple orders in one bag with no problems. I am now returning clothes in my closet that have not been worn. Never again will I shop from SS. THE NEXT COMPLIMENT I RECEIVE I WILL WARN THEM DO NOT ORDER FROM SSReview from Kathleen M

I will NEVER, EVER do business with SS again. They used to be good. Now their phone employees are inept and rude. Will NOT put you through to managers when asked. They don't listen. You tell them something and then they ask the same thing again. Very hard to understand most of them with their heavy accents.I ordered something from a manager one day, after a lot of stressful time dealing with the people that answer the phones. He took all my information and said he would flag my account that I could send whatever didn't fit back with no charge for shipping, as I had to order 2 of each item to determine the correct size.The next day got a message saying I needed to call them because something did not go through.When I called they would not put me through to the manager I spoke to the day before and said my account was not flagged that I would NOT have to pay shipping back. They would reorder the items but not honor the Managers agreement with me. I believe the managers name was *****!!!Then the girl on the phone reprimanded me for not being nice to the employees. I was fine until their lack of work ethics with someone who was trying to spend money with their company, stressed me out.Obviously from all these reviews this company should definitely NOT be in business, and it doesn't look like they will be for long. SHAME ON THEM!!!I'm also calling the BBB.******************Review from Ann S

Worst customer service EVER! I returned a dress immediately after receiving it which they claim they never received. Long story short, after too much time on the phone.... no refund, no dress and they lied to me several times, saying that I'd get a refund, when they had no intention of doing so.Review from MELINDA F

Beware when ordering online from Soft Surroundings. If an item needs to be returned you will pay for ***** to ship it. Once it is received by the returns department it should be immediately refunded but nope this doesn't happen. Any other company I have returned merchandise to refunds the purchase as soon as ***** has scanned the package. Their business practices are very sketchy, there is a good reason they have gone bankrupt.Review from Anne D

I purchased a sweater from Soft surroundings in September. Because it was a warm sweater I didnt wear it until late October. I loved the sweater but after wearing it for just a few hours I noticed it was pilling under the arms and across the front, anywhere my arms rubbed. This was a $100 sweater. I believe I paid around $75 with a sale. When I contacted Soft Surroundings concerning my unhappiness with the quality of the sweater at first they said its been over 30 days since my purchase but then they agreed to a return and sent me a return label. After numerous calls to the company regarding my refund I got nowhere. I just received a refund from them dated Dec 6 for $15.95. Not only did it take over 6 weeks for a refund. I received a fraction of the cost of the sweater. I will continue to try to contact them for my full return but if I dont get anywhere I will contact the BBB. Im very disappointed in this. I have purchased from them for years. But that will be my last purchase.Soft Surroundings Response

Why does it take a month to process a refund. Based on the negative reviews soft surroundings is a joke. When I inquired about refund I got some made up excuse. The merchandise is not cheap and I would think Soft Surroundings would provide better service. Shame on you.Review from Kathleen C

I ordered a velvet blazer on Sept 26, 2023, had it delivered to our local store in ***************, **. When it arrived at the store it was a wrinkled mess and was sized very small so was not a good fit. I tried it on at the store, never left the store with it, returning it on the spot on Oct 5. My receipt stated it may take 10 days to show up on my cc statement. It is now 17 days and still no credit for $127.84. This is a lousy way to conduct business. I have tried to call customer service but was told to call back because they may be undergoing system updates. I have emailed but thus far have gotten no response.Review from Peggy K

I ordered sale items based on the size guide for each item. NONE fit. Pants stride was much too long for a petite. Four blouses were all too small or of very poor quality. Items were not as in the pics. Several blouses were extremely wrinkled and would require a professional to fix . Since all but one were final sale, I spent a lot of time making sure I got the right size. **************** refused to work with me on a compromise. Im 71 and Ive been a customer of SS for a very long time but the pima cotton shirts I ordered months ago are definitely not the weight and quality Ive had in the past.more flimsy. So disappointed as their clothes are expensive; some things I can get at Northstyle are much cheaper (though they have no stores). The women sales gals in the SS stores are excellent though. The cotton fabrics are clearly cheaply made.Soft Surroundings Response

This company is criminal, not only do they keep your refund money for weeks (which multiplied by hundreds of refunds is money in the bank for them) but they also charge you a flat shipping charge of $10 and then you have to pay restocking and tax on an item that I no longer have. My purchase was $88 and and my return was $75. CRIMINAL Shame on you!A copy of this is sent to the BBB!!!They took my money on **** returned the same day and my refund was not placed until ****.*************************
