We have been in contact with The ******* Company since the end of 2020. We finally were able to sign contracts and secure funding through refinance to pay for kitchen, laundry, and bathroom remodel. Total amount of the job was $56,000 and we paid ******* $17,850 in beginning of April. Start date kept getting pushed back and we figured it was just due to supplies and the pandemic. In August we just saw an article in the news that ******* was no longer in business and never received a call from the company or refund of our money. No work was done. I have attached the signed contract and emails with our project manager and proof of funds sent from our mortgage company.

Around May 15th I contacted Dillon company to have a quote done for some work. I signed the, contract and put down $3200 as a down payment. The man I was working with quit the company and NOBODY followed up with me. I emailed several times, left phone messages and in person messages with a Secretary several times, and only received one call back from a man that did not give his name and only said hed "look at my file". Nobody has been at their offices for 2 days, nobody is answering messages or picking up phones.

On May 20, 2021 we J***** * ***** ** ***** entered into a contract with the Dillon Company on St Joseph to remodel our kitchen in our residence. The scope of the work was spelled out and the contract price was to be $12,401.20 of which we were to put as a down payment of $6401.20. The down payment was given upon acceptance of the contract to the project manager *** *******. The remaining balance was due in split payments of $3000. *** ******* called on July 13th and informed us he was ready to set a date for the counter top contractor to come and install the countertops and the new sink. Since that day we have not heard from anyone at the Dillon Company. We have called multiple times with no response. We also went to the Company building to find the building closed during business hours. We would like our down payment of $6401.20 returned if there is no intention from the Dillon Company to fulfill their contract.

Dillon company came and took 12,000 from us as a down payment for work to our home. Dillon company kept giving excuses on why they cannot come and complete the work. then last week the owner came and said "look i'm declaring bankruptcy but we will still come and complete work for $12,000 to your home." We agreed and said that was fine. he then declared bankruptcy and will not return phone calls at all. We went to speak with the owner and he said he will not complete the work now. We do not know what to do. we are on a fixed income. both of us are retired. this was a splurge for us and they took our money knowing they would not be able to complete the work. please help us. they still have their website up saying they can come and do estimates. they need to take it down and stop taking elderly peoples money.
