The plumber came to my house on 9/17/2021 and collected $75.00 just to see what work I needed to have done. The work involved repairing a leak at the washing machine faucet and replacing a bathroom faucet I already purchased. He told me he would figure out parts and costs and give me a call. I have not heard back. The check was cashed. Now it’s too late for any repairs because I am closing on the house sale next week.Business response

The consumer was informed over the phone that there is a service charge of $75 to come to her house to develop a bid. She was aware of this charge.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
I understand they charged up front, but the understanding was that money WAS TO BE APPLIED TOWARDS THE WORK TO BE DONE. That never happened.
What they also did NOT do is give me a PROMISED follow-up phone call to schedule a date to complete the work. I waited and waited for them to return a call, in his words, "I'll give you a jingle."
NO PHONE CALL WAS EVER RECEIVED FROM THE COMPANY, no follow - up work was completed, and the time to conduct the work passed because I sold the property.In effect, I lost money that was to go towards the project.
However, I am tired of dealing with this and wish to close the case. Please make sure in the future that the company DOES CALL the customer when promised.
