We had Amrazek move us from ********* to **********, **. We have moved around the country several times, and we have never had such a poor experience with a moving company. We moved from a very large house, and the movers were extremely careless with our things. When packing, they listed each of our hundreds and hundreds of items, along with any damage each item had, on a very small handheld device. Then they expected me to sign off on them all at once. Of course I could barely see what was written bc the type was in a font size that was barely legible. Imagine being in the middle of a move, with at least 8 movers and packers all over your house, and being told to sign off on all of this - while the 'person in charge' is holding the small device. Exhausted as one is during a move, of course I just signed it, as everyone was in such a hurry, and there was just no way I could read any of it. I asked several times if they could print me off a copy, but according to this man, that was not possible. So I signed. I wasn't happy about it, but I knew that most of our things were in very good condition - especially our new family room furniture and the primary bedroom furniture. I also knew that, though some of our furniture was older, it was still in like-new condition - even after having been through several cross-country moves. When we got to **********, we had two holes in the back of our new couch. Two! And to my complete surprise, they had listed "worn and damaged" or some other similar terms on that tiny handheld device, describing my couch. The first thing I had them do in ********* was shrink-wrap our beautiful, white couch - yet there were the 2 holes that happened during the move.I cant figure out if the guy saw the holes and changed the description of our couch before he loaded it, or if he just marked all of our furniture as "damaged". Those holes were NOT there before our move! Neither were all of the myriads of nicks, scratches, and dents that were obvious when the rest of our furniture arrived at our new home in **********.Once we saw our boxes come off the truck in **********, we quickly knew where some of the damage happened. My husband and I had had to go close on the house we were selling, and I had specifically told the movers that they were not allowed to go into the primary bedroom. I had personal belongings that I did not want to go on the truck. I was very specific about them not going into our bedroom. What was in there was going with us, in our vehicle. When we came back from the closing, EVERYTHING from our bedroom had been loaded. All of my jewelry and many other items of significance. Of course I was not letting my valuables go on the truck. That is the first rule of moving. So I told them I wanted those things off the truck. Well supposedly, they had been loaded at least an hour before. I didn't care. I was not letting my valuables, that were in the bedroom I specifically told them NOT to enter, go on that truck. So they went into the truck to look for them. They looked for 30 minutes and said they could not find them. I said too bad. Keep looking. They were not happy and made sure I knew it. They eventually found them, but once we saw our boxes in **********, we knew exactly how they found them - they had carelessly climbed on box after box of our belongings - resulting in boxes that had been crushed. This in turn resulted in large family photos in beautiful heavy frames being crushed, that had once surrounded beautiful portraits of our sons when they were just toddlers. They are now 27 and 29. I can never replace those portraits. We had vases, bowls, and so many other things that were broken, due to them climbing all over our boxes - due to them disregarding my instructions that they were not to enter the primary bedroom and touch my valuables.New furniture was nicked, scratched, dented - even the tops of some wood pieces had spits in them! I have never seen any kind of damage like that before. We had had several items over the years that had sustained damage in previous moves, but a "furniture doc" was always able to repair such damage so that the items were made to look much, if not completely, better. When it came time to claim the damage they had done to our things, Amrazed took ZERO accountability, claiming that about 99% of the damage was pre-existing. To say we were shocked is an understatement. We had items that were completely destroyed! How could they possibly describe our furniture as previously damaged? That simply was not true. Of course we had some items with existing nicks and scratches. I am not saying all of our items were in pristine condition. However, the majority of our things were absolutely NOT previously damaged and were not in the condition that was used to describe them. What was their offer for compensation? $500. Yes, $500. AND $250 of that was for our ladder that the mover never unloaded from his truck! They offered us $250 that we were supposed to use to replace (items that actually could be replaced!) or fix all of our damaged items. When we decided to go to arbitration, Amrazek somehow never had to pay us a dime. Not one thing. Not even for the ladder, as once you go to arbitration, you risk losing their offer. Arbitration offered nothing more.We are completely disgusted with Amrazek moving. ************************* "sold" us on Amrazek's moving services. We trusted him. BEWARE. Also beware of ********* in the claims department. She is one of the rudest people I have ever had to try to communicate with. She is extremely disrespectful and rude and made me feel like I was making false claims. As did the people in arbitration. We have never had a moving experience like this one. It left us feeling completely shocked, disappointed, and taken advantage of. We never anticipated anything like this.A Mrazek Moving Systems Response

A-Mrazek takes pride in our work and taking care of our customer's. While the customer's frustration over the inventory process is valid, the actual claim settlement is based on a 3rd party inspection who determines fresh damage versus existing damage, and while we may note damage on the inventory, if the inspection firm finds it to be fresh damage, the claim is honored. In looking over the notes, the customer reported on pack day, load day, (with exception of crew loading a box from bedroom) and on delivery, that everything was going great. In fact, on 3-4-2020, the customer e-mailed that the driver was the best they have ever had in 10 plus moves. When we came to a disagreement on the claim settlement, Mrazek decided to forward it to our **************** for another set of eyes, which, it was determined from the 3rd party inspection, and, inventory process, the settlement was fair. At that point, a customer has the right to file arbitration through a consumer advocate process. Again, this is a 3rd party process, with no connection to A-Mrazek of ********** Lines, that determines the final outcome of the claim. Unfortunately the determination was also not in favor with what the customer wanted. We regret the frustration the customer has over the claims process, but, three different teams, including the arbitrator decided on the same outcome.Customer Response

It is up to future customers to decide whether or not to trust all of their belongings to ************** *** Lines. I personally find it very concerning that all three teams came up with the same "solution". It all made us sick, and we were shocked at the lack of concern for any of our belongings - many of which we had cherished for years; some of which were relatively new and in perfect condition. We expected more - especially after being reassured by ************************* that our things would be well looked after.
