I was charged over $200 when I asked them to check for a leak. This is too much. This was a SAFETY issue with no one at fault. Absolutely the worst customer service ever. It took me five phone calls to get someone out to check the leak. After they finally did, they did not inform me that they had tagged my tanks. I came home to no heat and no way to cook. Horrible! On one of the phone calls the customer service person told me that they "did not do anything" as no one was home. I would they certainly did SOMETHING when the cut my tanks off!!Review from Rebecca W

Definitely some of the worst customer service I've ever encountered. We've been customers for a year and in that time we've suspected a gas leak multiple times, were told it was fine and finally they stopped even responding to our request to take a look or just said there was no leak without coming out to check. This winter we ran out of propane during a bad snow storm so we immediately called the next day and asked for an emergency truck. We were told we couldn't get one but guaranteed delivery 3 days from then. Finally our house got so cold we couldn't keep up with space heaters, so we had to leave and get an Airbnb because we didn't feel safe having our 2 year old and 3 month old in the house. Called daily for updates and were still told there was nothing they could do. The "guaranteed" delivery date came, called customer service and they said our tank would be filled that day. No one ever came and we got no updates as to when we could expect our tank to be filled (even with multiple calls and emails asking). Finally I saw Ferrell took the liberty of placing another order in our account (without notifying us at all), this time with a new guaranteed delivery date almost two weeks from then. Our calls and emailed continued to be ignored. Long story short, we had to stay in Airbnbs for two weeks and again, Ferrell missed the second guaranteed delivery date with no communication or updates whatsoever. The worst part is, during that time our house got down to 27 degrees inside and 18 pipes burst in our house. We had to spend thousands of dollars in Airbnbs and plumbing fixes so we could go home again. The number of defensive and rude people we've dealt with through this situation has honestly been mind blowing and we haven't even gotten so much as an apology. Now we can't even get someone to respond to us to come pick up their tank. Please do yourself a favor and find a local company that actually cares about their customers.Review from sam m

Started with them as that is who the previous owner had. They over charged me $77 for filling my tank - even stated when they tried to renew my account for next year. ended up buying my own tank and will save me the cost of the tanks in 10 years in fuel cost savings. I told them to pick up their tank and send me my overcharge -- they have done nothing --- STAY AWAY. will file petty theft charges against themReview from Matt W

I was price gouged twice with FERRELL GAS, and they don't care. On January 19, 2024 I called to get a price per gallon. After several attempts throughout the week and leaving my call back #, I finally got someone to answer their phone. I inquired about what the current price was per gallon. The girl put me on hold for about 90 seconds to 2 minutes. Then hung up on me. I made it clear that I was only getting a price first before I would place an order for a fill up. She never called back and I made several attempts to call back that afternoon. I guessed they did not want to reveal their price OR WAS SIMPLY TOO BUSY. So I ordered propane from Amerigas at $1.69/gallon. Well one week later on 1/26/24 Ferrell Gas came out and filled my tank with out my permission and charged me $2.019 per gallon. Did I mention this is the second time this has happened? I had to call Amerigas to cancel my delivery. So this ended up costing me almost $100 more with Ferrell Gas than Amerigas! I simply would not have ordered from Ferrell Gas knowing what they charged. Matt W. So I called Ferrell Gas to complain on Monday morning 1/29/2024 to have their GM call me about my complaint. I heard nothing . I called back on Wednesday 1/31/2024 and asked again to speak to the GM. When the girl asked me what this was in regards to, I told them about an unauthorized fill up. I still have not heard nothing. This tells me they don't care about their customers, or X-customers. i have shared this story with the people I know who order propane, and I have prevented 3 fill ups. I will continually cost them fill ups in my area and will never order propane again from Ferrell Gas. I hope you do not either order propane from FERRELL GAS because of price gouging.Review from Melinda T

Ordered gas on January 27. Delivery was set for Feb. 2-5. Every time I called to check on delivery, just got excuse after excuse. When they finally showed up on February 8, they called my cell phone so I could open gate. I missed the call by 2 minutes, but the driver left no message so I wasn’t even sure it was Ferrell Gas calling. Finally, got the delivery on February 8th. Spent many days with no gas, therefore no heat or hot water. Wish I could give these people less than 1 star.Review from Randy R

I had ran out of gas after my auto pay was dropped when Ferrellgas changed systems in January '24. I call at 8:00 Friday morning paid may bill and was told it would be Monday when I would get gas. I called Monday morning to get a delivery time, they then told me it would be Tuesday and that I would have to pay $150 more for the delivery. I asked to speak to a manager, which the lady said one was not available but a manager would call me back. A manager never called me back so I called at 4:30, spoke to another lady "Sheryl" who told me that it would be Thursday now for my delivery. I asked why a manager had not called me she advised the manager had answered via email to their system. I asked for the corporate contact number for Ferrell gas and was given a general number which I was transferred to a complaint line which was a recording. I have been a Ferrellgas customer for about 25 years and their customer service is terrible now since hey have centralized their services. I will be finding another provider. I would suggest mot using Ferrellgas.Review from Shane I

From my experience with Ferrellgas, they are an awful company to do business with. I became a Ferrellgas customer after purchasing a house that already utilized Ferrellgas for LP service. Shortly into the service, I found out they were price-gouging me. After a long call with customer service, they reduced my price by a fair amount, and I continued to do business with them. This same thing happened the next year, and when it happened again the third year in a row, I decided to find a new provider. While switching services and having my Ferrellgas tank removed, there were extra, unspecified charges on my bill. The Ferrellgas truck that pumped my fuel out also provided a receipt showing they had pumped out 304.5 gallons, but Ferrellgas only reimbursed me for 140 gallons because they stated that is what my tank level gauge showed. I then reached out to Ferrellgas customer service, and they would not provide any answers; they would drop the online chat and hang up the phone. Bad company. More than happy to take your money, but will not deliver the propane in the allotted time frame. Placed an order for 148 gallons on 1/16/2024, but still have NOT received it. Driver claimed the gate was locked (not true) so the order was cancelled. Have tried to straighten this snafu out, but no results. Tank is down to 19%, and I can't find help anywhere. Requested a refill on January 13, 2024 at which time my tank read 40 percent. I was told I would receive the fill by January 20. On January 21, the gas had not been delivered. We had snow and ice for 3 days so I felt like it may have created a delay and was understanding to that matter. On January 25, I called and was told the gas would be delivered that day and that she would speak to a manager about the issue. On January 26, I called and was told we had been overlooked and assured me the gas would be out that day. Here we are on January 27 (a Saturday which means the company is closed) and my tank is at 5 percent. I plan to call on Monday and have them come pick up their tank and go with another company!Review from Carla I

They don't deserve even a 1 star! I ordered a refill of propane on 1/10/2024 and as of today, 1/26/2024, I still have not received any. We are now out completely. We are elderly and are without heat or a stove. When calling, you never know what state the person is located. The last one that I spoke to even stated to me and I quote, "Well, we all have been cold before"! This was Ashley in Mississippi. I advise anyone DO NOT go with this company
