10/12/2021 A tech came to my house was here about 15 min did not touch anything made a phone call and left. I didn't know they was going to charge road time to get here. A copy of the bill tells what they did. I can't see paying for someone to drive here. Which they should have told me that.

We were contacted by Mr. ******* on 10-12-21. He stated that he had purchased a ****** *** ******** generator online and that it didn’t work. We advised him that if the failures were warranty, there would be no charge. However, if they were not warrantable failures there would be charges associated with the diagnosis.
Upon our arrival on 10-13-21, our technician noticed that the generator was not properly installed and there were several issues with the generator. Some of the issues are could be warrantable, but since the unit is not properly installed we can not make repairs to the unit. It must be properly installed. We do not perform installations of generators, only sales and service. We informed Mr. ******* that the unit would need to be properly installed by a licensed electrician and most likely the issues with the generator would be corrected.
On 11-1-21, Mr. ******* called our office about the invoice he received. I spoke with him and we determined that our technician had charged for 45 minutes more than what he should have, based on travel time to his location from where our technician began traveling from. We determined this by checking the GPS in his truck. I reduced the invoice by $100.00 on 11-1-21 and resent him the new invoice for $286.00 dollars and he, at that time, agreed that was fair. He mailed a check for the $286.00 and the invoice is paid in full.
We have to pay our technicians for travel time and job time. We in turn, charge our customers for travel time and truck charges to get to their location.
Mr. ******* must have submitted the complaint, prior to calling our office and talking to me. I can show the audit trail of our invoicing system as to when I made changes to the invoice if you would like to see that as well.
