We have bought so many cars over the years and this was by FAR the WORST experience we have ever had. We bought used VW Passat here and we get the fact that it was used and won't be perfect. They lied to us over and over again just to get us further away from the time we bought it. We brought the car back in shortly after driving it home saying there was a problem. They said said they fixed it. Again, started over heating, brought it back to them. Again, they said they fixed it after $250 invoice (crack reservoir, after researching it myself this should have told them the water was boiling and there was a much more serious problem). Still overheating, so we brought it back and they then said it would cost $1600 to fix a gasket. After reviewing all of the invoices on the repairs they completed before the car was sold to us we found out the reason it was traded in by the previous owner was the fact that it was over heating, imagine that!!!! At this point they lost our trust and refused to cover the cost so we refused the repair and took it somewhere else to be looked at. If someone was getting that money, it was not going to be them. Guess what this other repair shop found the problem to be?!!!! A BLOWN HEAD GASKET!!!! They stated it was the problem all along and were trying to cover it up this whole time while stringing us along. We would have paid the $1600 and there still would have been the blown head gasket. These people are corrupt and this business is dirty and needs to be SHUT DOWN. We know people who have had the same issue with this place and we know how this place works on the inside. How this company is allowed to conduct business this way is beyond anything I can understand. We have also contacted the Missouri Attorney General and will be pursuing a case. We would like a full refund for the car and will take nothing less, it should have never been sold to anyone. I will add all the supporting documents as needed, we have them all.
