I purchased a 2014 Kia Sorento 4 wheel drive on 1/9/23. I paid $16,249 cash. I had it for no more than a day or two when the check engine light came on. I took it back and they said they fixed it but it came back on. This went on multiple times. Then they sent me ***** ****** in Lee Summit for a diagnostic. They did the diagnostic and I took it to McCarthy's. They said it was recommendation so they didn't fix what was included n the diagnostic. The engine light kept coming on. In September I was driving the car. I pulled up to the stop light and it just died. I had to have it towed to ***** ****** in Lee Summit. They said it would be $11,000 for a new engine, which I could not afford. So I had it towed to my house and it's been sitting in my driveway every since.Initial Complaint

A written quote given for tires was not honored within time of noted expire date on written quote. Company states promotion was going on at time of quote this was not stated at time of quote so no action taken but when appointment made in accordance with expire date this was brought up. Spoke with service manager to ask quote be honored this was not done offered money off but did not meet with quoted amount. Also tried to reach out to General Manager of location left voice mail but no response from him. Tires should be put on for amount of quote that is in writing.Initial Complaint

Scheduled multiple appointments and drove in only to be lied to. I was told that my new key fob was given to someone else. I would like the manager named **** to be written up or terminated. He promised me he would fix my key fob and I Scheduled another visit and drove for 30mins but he failed to show up and return my phone call.Initial Complaint

My car was towed to the collision center the claims department of AAA insurance called to check on my car they told them that they are waiting on parts and it would be wed my y was sent there Oct 24th so I called and the shop told me they were putting my car back together all the parts have arrived they shop kept telling the insurance and different things they had my car for 4 weeks and they kept saying it would be ready by wed well it never was they charged insurance for cleaning the inside my after I told them not clean it I had real bad service I had to tell them they needed to finish my. That I was on my way up to pick it otherwise they still would have had it don't want other people to go Thur all this unnecessary stress that I went throughBusiness response

Have tried to receive my refund for my extended warranty I purchased directly from the dealership. As well as other warranties purchased through them for my vehicle I have yet to receive refund payment on. I filled out a form after they continued to ignore me on the refund payments. It’s been a month and a half and still no refund or response from them.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: when was the refund sent? Is there documentation showing the refund has been mailed I. A timely manner as expected? It’s been over the 8 week turn around time and have yet to receive anything. If it hasn’t been mailed- I will gladly drive to the dealership to pick up. No one will still return my calls

Had several problems with this dealer. They have misrepresented the issues with my car covered by Hyundai at least once and now are doing it a second time. They engage in poor business practices by attempting to charge me for work they did not get prior authorization for. And also just having bad products that have so many issues they are eight weeks behind in replacing engines. Told me I should drive a car with a failing engine until it blows. Which is also a safety issue obviously. Also very unprofessional.
