We contacted Bear Roofing and received the attached estimate to repair fascia that was damaged in inclement weather. The quote was provided September 23, 2021. As of June 10th, 2022, the fascia has not been repaired. Multiple calls have been made to the company, requesting an estimated timeline of repair due to the concern that the exposed wood will sustain damage from the elements; rain, wind, snow, ice, heat, cold. Consistent response from the company has been "we need to order the fascia to match"; "this is a 3 person job that can be challenging to coordinate" and "the specialists needed to complete this work typically need to fit this in between a larger job". Request for response from the company to schedule and complete the repairing of the fascia in a timely manner, considering the date of the quote.Business response

Thank you for bringing to our attention. This job was completed last week. There were specific installers we were waiting for. I have talked with the homeowner and apologized for the time it took to get the project completed for them The homeowner was as nice as he has ever been.Customer response

We had arranged for Bear Roofing & Exteriors to replace our whole roof. It was to be done concurrently with a repair to the west side slope from 2019 storm damage. The installation was scheduled for Thursday August 5th, 2021, but was done on Monday August 9th, 2021, due to bad weather. Unfortunately, the whole installation process was improperly done and incomplete. There are many concerns that we had after the work was supposedly done. I emailed ***********************, our Bear Roofing contact, on Tuesday August 10th, 2021. The whole email chain is in an attachment. I have contacted him several times in connection with our concerns. His responses include explanations and excuses or denials. They have destroyed our Gutter Helmet system beyond repair and it requires a complete replacement. I have only signed a contract for their work before it was started. We have not seen a final ****, payment option plans nor were we asked for a down-payment. Please let us know if we have any course available.Customer response

We would like them to cover the cost and fees of the Gutter Helmet replacement. Reimbursement for the lost satellite dish. A proper cleanup of our property. A suitable solution to the loose supporting beam on the front porch. Have an inspection done by a licensed independent inspector to confirm that the rest of the roof installation was done correctly. For Bear Roofing to cover any and all costs related to fixing, replacement, etc. of anything related to this complaint.Business response

Good morning. We are in agreement that the gutters were not handled correctly and informed the homeowner that we would be taking care of the cost to get them handled correctly. We also informed the homeowner that we will get the satellite dish or compensate her for that as well. As for the roof installation. It was installed using practices and procedures that meet and exceed the current codes and common roofing practices. The post was never touched and we informed the homeowner that upon redecking that the roof deck gets reinforced and weight will transfer to the post as the roof takes time to settle. Clean up was addressed and the crew returned to clean up better after the homeowner informed us there was excessive debris left. As of now we have not billed the homeowner. We are currently waiting for the final cost of gutter corrections to apply to the final ****.

Bear came out last year in October to redo the entire outside of our house. They were to come back out to do touch up painting around the property, sand and stain our overhead in the front of the house, finish/replace the electric box on the deck, and finish the under board underneath our front door. We paid them over ****** my husband has been calling them every week since the spring to finish this job. They say they will be out, and nobody shows up. We are super frustrated and need them to either come out or reimburse us for this work not completed.Business response

We have been in touch with the homeowner to coordinate the completion of the small punch list items. we are waiting for an electrician we work with to take care for the exterior outlet that is not working- We have notified the homeowner of this.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
There is still painting throughout the outside of the home that needs to be completed for trim and touch up from the job. We only had someone come out for 20 minutes one time since the complaint was filed where one small board was replaced under the front door, and a few nails were placed in the upper trim area in the front of the house. No painting had been completed as of today.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: Unfortunately we were only able to get the electric box on our deck updated so far. The owner came by for a meeting to get things resolved but started arguing with my husband ***** right away. The painting is not completed and **** stated they will not be doing the staining of the wood in the overhang/Entergy area, which they agreed to do at ****** for the spring 2021.
