**************************************************** was coming to pick up Propane Tank; weve switched to another provider, due to ongoing issues with this company. The empty Propane Tank was placed beside the lower driveway for pick up. The driver came all the way up the hill, the down through the lower part of the upper driveway, driving between the house and the garage at speed, He drove between the house and garage, ACROSS OUR LAWN, running over the tow-arm of an antique Logging Sled, and nearly hitting a ***** of ***** Tress on one side and our garage, on the other side of his transit across our LAWN! The Logging Sled is over 200 years old, and was in exceptional condition. The guy peeled out getting back up onto gravel! *There was absolutely NO REASON, for their driver to come up the driveway, past where the empty tank was located! There is a turn-a-round, RIGHT THERE! And WHEN, is it EVER appropriate to ram-rod through someones YARD!??? It shook the whole house; I thought he was going to hit it! I phoned Edwards *** office on Wednesday after it happened, told them what happened and to phone Skalkos.Thursday, nearing the end of day, I phoned the *** office, as I had not had anyone response. Again, I asked that they contact *******. The woman wouldnt even speak. Friday, late morning, I contacted ***********************, the Owners son, (In Virginia,) who is in charge of that area of the business. ***** told me he hadnt heard about it until Thursday; and that I would NOT be hearing from his parents. He stated his employee, ***** would be resolving this issue. I asked twice, for their Insurance information, which received no response. It is now Monday, and I have had ZERO contact from *****, *********************** or *******************, (Owner,) or their ****************** This is the SECOND time theyve caused property damage at our residence.

      Business response

      12/05/2023

************** husband was a former employee of ours. He quit our eployement to take a job closer to his home and his wife as she has some medical needs.  His new employer terminated him after a few months. This was his 4th job termination in less than 5 years.  After he was terminated, he called us and asked for a job in his residential area in ***, ** (where he was working after he left us) and we declined.  After that ************, demanded that we remove the propane tank that was installed on her property by our company one to two years ago.  She signed a 7 year contract and then when we wouldnt hire her husband, she terminated the contract about six years short.

We have the right to retrieve our property. She claims that we broke the handle of a sled that was buried under the grass.  Our contract states that we are not responsible for damage done to her property when retrieving our equipment in a situation like this.  She claims we could have done it a different way and not have damaged her equipment.  Hindsight is 20/20.   She has called the police, she has called our insurance and she has called you as a representative of BBB.  Our insurance company has the case.  We will defer to their judgement.

      Customer response

      12/08/2023

I am rejecting this response because:

This Business, who claims to hold their customers above all else, has failed to respond.  They fail to be held accountable in all matters.  They violate all obligations, insomuch as, lying to customers to obtain their business, ignoring repeated attempts to correct failures, fail to respond to prior & current property damages caused by their agents, (Employees,) etc.  CHOOSE ANOTHER PROVIDER!  I even had to endure the shameful and offensive verbal abuse by the owners son, on speaker phone, when they initially brought their tank for installation; they had stated they had a Boom-truck, and that they would have no issue installing the tank where the previous company had installed their tank they did not/could not!  After nearly TWO YEARS, the Edwards/North Country Propane rank, was still in an unprotected, dangerous location.  Repeated attempts to get the tank properly placed, fell on deaf ears; even interfered with ************** after our Well went dry; even though we notified Edwards it was in the way!  It caused an additional delay in re-drilling our dry Well!
