I applied to ********************** on May 31st and then paid a deposit off $250 on June 1st. I called on June 1st to confirm receipt. I called to inquire about the status on my application on June 5th (2 business days later) and heard nothing. I called again on June 7th to follow up and again heard nothing. I then called again on June 8th and they finally spoke to me and told me that I would not be able to move in until my first day of employment. After consideration, I decided to withdraw my application. Had they spoken to me when I had first called or communicated with me, I would have been able to withdraw my application sooner. I am complaining because due to lack of communication on their end, I am not able to receive my deposit back. I attempted to communicate within 72 hours and ensure I was following protocol. They have been entirely unprofessional and unwilling to communicate.Initial Complaint

Nearly 2 years ago i moved out of the Northtown village apartment building when my girlfriend and I bought a townhouse. I received my deposit and as far as we knew we were fine. Mail was forwarded, office had our new address as well as my phone number which has not changed. Now nearly 2 years later I'm getting phone calls from a collection agency for a debt they say i owe, but nobody seems interested or able to produce documentation to prove it legitimate. I have a hard time believing they've sat on this for this long. They've had the ability to contact me but have not, instead, out of the blue I'm getting calls from collections demanding I take care of it without seeing proof i actually owe it. With the amount of time passed and that I received my deposit back after we moved, it must be some kind of mistake. It just doesn't make sense to me. We moved out in March of 2021.Initial Complaint

I am a tenant at The ******************* through **************************. At the end of April I called to ask when was my lease ended I dont remember the persons name but it was a female she told me 7/30/22 I said okay I would like to inform you that I will not be renewing my lease she said okay we are required to send out a notice 2 month prior that you can sign I said okay. I then again call in May to make sure that my lease was ** in July because online it said something different maybe not the same lady but she told me July 30th I still didnt receive a notice to sign. Fast forward to July 8th 2022 I called and ask when my lease is up I spoke to **** he said July 30th he said they sent out a letter for me to sign to state that I wasnt resigning my lease which I never received to this day. We set up a meeting to talk today July 11 2022 and they basically are saying that Im on a month to month my rent has been the same since I have been living here if I was m to m I would be paying market value and my move out date has changed from July 31 to September 30th and I dont think that Im in the faultBusiness response

Hello - I verified with our Operations Team:
Residents lease requires a two calendar month notice in writing in order to cancel residency.
Resident did not provide written notice in accordance with her lease agreement. Without written notification, management cannot discontinue a resident lease.
Resident has lived at our community for 2 years and has signed multiple leases. She has been made aware of our notice requirements and had full right and ability to submit notice at anytime.Please let us know if you need additional information.
