David at Early Bird Electrical was outstanding! Everything was excellent. David’s knowledge and ability to research electrical codes and city codes was awesome. Money wasn’t the bottom line. Excellent customer service all around. Got an appointment almost right away and was able to book it online. Great communication especially. I knew when my technician was arriving via text, email and I could even track his arrival. Fantastic time saver and nice to know who to expect. As someone who lives alone it put my mind at ease to know my tech’s name, I got sent a picture so I knew his face and clearly labeled uniform and vehicle. Rob even explained what went wrong with my electrical issue and further explained some goofy things on my breaker box! He fixed the issue quickly and was even sweet to my cat. We undertook EarlyBird to do a large update to our electrical for our basement and first floor to accompany remodeling. After contracts were signed, working with the project manager and company representatives was a nightmare. As it was a large project, scheduled over multiple days, different crews worked on our house different days, with inconsistent supervision. Quality of life requests, such as reviewing work done at the end of each day and letting us know when they were leaving the site, were ignored on multiple occasions. Follow up requests and concerns in writing about project delays and quality were not responded to, instead, the project manager informed us they were "wrapping up" the pre-drywall work and all other concerns would be addressed post drywall. At this point they charged us an 80% completion rate, in violation of our contract. When we finally got ready to drywall, we looked over the work that had been installed. A fair bit of wiring was all placed on one circuit, when we had been charged for multiple, individual new circuits installed. They left exposed wire in our attic. And covered a dangerous connection of new wires to old knob and tube wiring with a spare piece of insulation so it wouldn't be immediately seen by the inspector. We worked with them to fix the dangerous connections and bring the quality up to the point that we had already paid them (safe for installing drywall over). Getting them to fix their mistakes and make our home safe took months, and they still kept the $18,000 of "80% complete." The stress of trying to work with this company and then get them to fix the work that had made our home more dangerous than when it started was honestly traumatizing.EarlyBird Electric Response
