So mine was a corporate move from IL to RI and one would think these moves are given more attention and care. Wrong. A few boxes went missing and were never found. Upon filing the claim for lost / damaged goods, they denied it for having no picture evidence. Do you understand meaning of the word 'lost'? Furthermore, my bicycle arrived with its front wheel attached backwards. My previous corporate moves have been seamless- Beltmann changed that so I'll unfortunately have to echo the other 1-star reviews. I hope future corporate / personal customers refrain from using Beltmann. Moving is stressful as is and they make sure to add more to it.

Beware if you plan to use Beltman Moving and Storage in Minnesota. Chris Lehman handled the estimate which went very well so, we signed the contract for a cross country move with self packing and long term storage. Per Lizzie McAdam the 1st month storage would be included in the upfront charge. The driver and his crew were great. Minimal items were delivered to an apt, and the remainder into a North American storage facility for 7 months. A couple months later I reached out to the storage facility regarding billing and learned my 1st month storage hadn’t been included in the upfront charge. I re-checked the contract amounts and found I’d been overcharged nearly $900 due to a math error. After a few weeks of back and forth with Lizzie she said I would receive a credit upon delivery from storage. Months later when delivery day finally came, Lizzie was no longer with the company, and I was forced to pay the full storage and delivery charge. Eventually I got my $900 refund, but not easily. I purchased their replacement cost insurance with a $500 deductible, and was informed I would have 9 months to file a claim. Once everything had been delivered and unpacked, I filed a claim for seven damaged items but only one item was approved. The claim agent, Jeanne DuMont, said I missed the 9 month window for items delivered to the apartment. I had been given the impression that I had 9 months from “final delivery” to submit a claim. She said anyone with “common sense” would know a separate claim was required within 9 months of each delivery. She also said there was NO coverage on self packed items even though I have email documentation stating self packed items would be insured at .60/lb I’ve made several cross country moves with full packing service and know how it’s done. I spent over $500 on packing paper alone and know how to pack a box. If you’re considering using Beltman, double check your charges and be prepared to be ripped off and disrespected.

Beltmann Relocation Group strives to satisfy each and every customer we serve. While ********************** was not satisfied with the claim process, it was settled according to her agreement signed with North American Van Lines. a summary of settlement ***** our adjuster: I denied PBO items that were discarded before the inspection. I paid the recliner as claimed $1,000.00. I denied the wicker sofa and chair that were delivered to a separate location on 3/26/21 and then moved again once she came out of storage. We received the claim on 5/20/22 and she filed the claim 14 months after deliver of her shipment. She said she thought she had 9 months from day of delivery for ALL items. The items were delivered to a temp location and moved again, and then a claim filed 14 months after delivery. Just following Tariff regulations. Regards,****** Du Mont Claims Analyst Consumer Claims

Per ****** DuMonts June 10 e-mail: Unfortunately, we must decline responsibility for items not packed by North American Van Lines representatives. Jeannes response after my BBB complaint I denied PBO items that were discarded before the inspection.. Which is it? The claim was denied because I packed the items or it was denied because I threw away broken glass after taking pics of it along with the sticker showing the box #. In fact the claims inspector who came to access the damaged items confirmed disposing of the broken glass which was a safety hazard was the appropriate thing to do.Beltmans response did not explain why it took months and months to be refunded for the overcharge (which I caught). Had I not double checked the numbers, I would be out $900. Nor was an apology ever given. **************** kept ignoring my findings of an overcharge. Claims agent ************************* was extremely rude. Terms on the back of the **** of lading are very faint and hard to read. Would never have seen anything on the back side if I hadnt asked where to find the terms. They were not at all noticeable and very hard to read.
