On 6/16/2020, I signed a contract with Voyda's Home Repair & Remodeling, LLC to remove and replace deck with cedar decking with black Westbury railing. Also, install stairway down to the lake with one hand rail.On 8/17/2021, I contacted ********************* with some questions about the step's skirtboards. There are splits; didn't know if I should use wood glue? Also, there is a shortage of nails in the skirtboards; the corners are now popping out and starting to crack. Additionally, I pointed out the some of the back boards on the dock steps have missing nails as they are starting to pop out. The dock hand rail can use some extra nails as the seam is coming apart. I sent some photos as well to show the problems. ***** responded right away, on August 18, and said he'll take care of the issues. On April 27, 2022, I followed up and he responded on 4/29/2022, with "I haven't forgotten about you".As of 8/17/2022, have not heard anymore from *****. These issues are not going away and will get worse over time if not repaired shortly.Business response

Good afternoon, I installed her deck ,railing and stairs to the lake back in 2020 , there's a 1 year warranty with performance of work ,wood will Crack as it dries out and moves , I did however reach back out to her right away when she texted ,my intentions are to replace the broken peice of skirt board , just really short staffed and been dealing with health issues the last few months, I will get it done before snow fall and tighten up her railing going to the lake ,thanks for your patience. Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I would appreciate to have the issues buttoned up before winter. I am now concern about the risers for the steps going down to the lake; they are starting to pop out. I believe screws should have been used in lieu of nails? Three screws per riser; one per backboard support frame; more secured with this method? Also, the railing could be tightened up as well. Not looking at being an inconvenience; just want to avoid any safety issues. Just don't want folks to injure themselves when using the steps.

I am rejecting this response because:
1. On 10/31/22 @ 9:24 am, I received a text from ************** stating he'll be out at my house to measure the board and check out the "lake railing". He showed up at my house at around 10 am or so along with two other gals. ************** came up with a game plan and said he'll be out later this week to do the work. He also recommended that I treat the steps and railing with some kind of product to protect the wood from decaying. It's too bad he didn't come out last year or earlier this year as I would have put on a clear wood finish product promptly. It's too late to do it now; I can't do this until next spring.
2. As of 11/2/22, 10:10 am, no one showed up, yet. I understand he has other projects. However, given the history of not resolving the issues in a timely fashion, I have yet believed him 100%. This has been ongoing since 8/17/2021; I've just been pacified with empty promises.
