On 11/11, we agreed to have our holiday lights installed between 11/15 - 11/17. When I called on 11/17 they noted they were very busy, have scheduling issues as they had an influx of installs, and reminded me that the package I purchased was the 'minimum' package, therefore making me feel like I was deprioritized. When I asked what we can to do remedy the situation, the company did not want to take any blame for their actions, but acknowledged that I was frustrated. When I mentioned I would leave a comment on the BBB site regarding this issue, they asked me if I would like to cancel the install, to which I said no as I have four children looking forward to Christmas lights on the house. They then took offense since I mentioned I would reach out to the BBB and cancelled the install. On 11/11 when I committed to the install, I had several other vendors with cheaper prices, however I needed lights installed by 11/20 for a holiday party at my house, and I was willing to pay a premium for timing and for positive reviews on the company. Unfortunately the company did not follow through with through with their agreement and took advantage of me when I said I could not cancel as my children were looking forward to having the Christmas lights up ASAP. I am now in a bind where I am still getting quotes from other vendors, which I expect will be higher priced due to the seasonality and availability to put Christmas lights on my house as most schedules are now filled up. If I am able to get another vendor to put on the holiday lights, I am asking that Russel Williams pay the difference between what I would have paid them versus what I will be paying the new vendor as well as other inconvenience charges for my time to complete a job that should have already have been completed per our agreement.Customer response

I wanted to let you know that David from Russel Williams has reached out and we have come to an agreement. At this point, I would like to withdraw my complaint versus Russel Williams as it relates to #16158314.
