My wife and I closed on a home owned by Homestead Road last year on September 14th, 2022. This October 2023 we received a bill from the *********** *********************** for a diseased tree removal that occurred early August 2022, totaling $3,613.16. We were not made aware of this special assessment on the home before, at, or after the closing. I have found significant evidence proving Homestead Road not only were sent a letter stating the tree was tagged for removal but they were also sent a letter stating what contractor was assigned to take down the tree and the amount that it would cost. Homestead Road received these letters well before we made an offer on the property and clearly chose to ignore them and not do their due diligence. Our real estate agent has reached out to the company with no success. I will be taking legal action if this is not resolved.

We have found that it is correct that we are responsible for paying for the tree removal on the property purchased by ************* and that, for some reason, it was not paid on time. We have contacted the *******************, which has provided information about how this situation can be resolved. We will be mailing a check in the amount of $ ****** to ************* and another check for the difference of the total of $ ******* to the City, which will be forwarded to the County so that this assessment is taken out of the property taxes owed by **************
We appreciate ************** bringing this situation to our attention. We have no record of having been contacted earlier by the real estate agent or anybody about this issue. We apologize for all the inconveniences that this issue might have caused the purchaser and have instituted measures to ensure that situations like this do not occur in the future.

For the 9th or 10th time after hearing apologies that it will not happen again and being told that "I will remove you from our mailing list." I received another of Homestead Road's mailers offering to buy my home. This seems predatory in the method of continually mailing me cards even after repeated efforts in good faith to get off their mailing list. their address is *************************************************************Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
I have repeatedly telephoned the business at the number on the mailer and was told by the person answering the call that they would remove me from the mailing. Saying I did not 'opt out ' using the online option is a dodge when I contacted them directly so many times.
